Yep, I've spent a real stupid amount on beer this month, and will continue to do so basically until CW 19.

SLL changed their rewards to $10 per $250 spent.

Four Firkins gives a 3% discount for cash and i'm sure if you ask nicely they will sell you discounted giftcards to their store . To inquire about this deal call

The good news is Celebration, the SN Snow Pack, and Jubelale all come out soon and are all cheap and delicious.

I'm with you. You did forget Bourbon County though. At least this year, they won't have Rare to try to find. ABR seemed to kick off the spending spree!

Crap, I knew there was a big one in there that I missed.

On another note, I broke down and bought Born Yesterday because everyone couldn't stop talking about it! :stuck_out_tongue: Possibly a stupid question as I haven't had much Lagunitas in a while, but do they have a non-fresh hopped version of this? This maybe my favorite pale we can get in Minnesota right now and while the fresh hop probably really makes it great, I think it still would be pretty good with non-fresh hops.

It's loosely based on New Dogtown. That being said, Born Yesterday has double the IBU and about 1.0% ABV more than Dogtown. And since Lagunitas generally does not publish what hops they use in their recipes (Born Yesterday uses Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic and "Indigenous Catawampus" whatever those are...) it's hard to compare there, too.

New Dogtown is an upper tier Pale Ale, imo. It's not in the same category as Zombie Dust and pSeudo (both of which I attribute more as an IPA than PA, but that's another discussion), but it's probably my favorite PA that's readily available in our market.

Gator's Liquor in Oakdale is closing October 29th. The Oakdale Hyvee strikes again. Their selection wasn't good, but they occasionally got rare stuff.

Hey guys, I just moved to the West Bloomington area. What are the best bottle shops in the area, preferably within +/- 15 minutes of the area.

Saw this for $13 at my local. Have not tried it. I did have the BA Old Ale a couple of years ago it was average. Ive heard this one is better, the price is good.

I hope this isn't the start of a trend. It seems like with the addition of Total Wine & more grocery/liquor stores all the time, the little guys are starting to suffer.
