10/10 sue is on point imo, even in comparison to the recent bombers...CD Mosiac is off the charts though. Spendier than last year iirc, but still amazing.

I haven't had it yet, but it is aged in Breckenridge bourbon barrels, and 12%. I believe the last one was much lower in abv.

Flying into msp Sunday the 23rd, staying at the comfort inn connected to outback steakhouse by the airport. I don't have a vehicle that night, any good places around there i can grab some good local bottles that are walking distance? Headed to the dakotas later in the week, hoping to stock up before i get out there with less choices. Thanks in advance yall

Ha we must have been standing right next to each other. I'm drinking them side by side now. Man it's a close call but I'd have to say Jolly Russian is the better Imp Stout. Thicker and more palate coating.

Even at the $9 vs $5 price per 12oz? I should have grabbed one, YOLO

Hate to tell you this but your best bet may be those bottles wrapped in a brown paper bag on the street.

Looks like there may only be one store within "walking" distance (Otto's) and even that is almost a mile away. Never have set foot in the place and haven't heard of anyone doing the same, my guess is it has just standard Minnesota shelfies unless they're sitting on some unrealized gems because it's not on the locals' radar. That whole area is unfortunately kind of a dead end, it's hotels and box stores that's boxed in by the mall, the interstate, and a slew of residential neighborhoods about a block south.

You may be better served by just ponying up the money for an Uber. I believe Sid's would be your closest best option, otherwise there's the Richfield municipal stores on the other side of 494 or South Lyndale Liquors a bit further out if you really want to shoot for the stars of what the area has to offer.

Don't try to go to a liquor store on Sunday here in MN as they are closed.

Thanks for the heads up yall, I'll figure something out. Yall have beer too good to give up on. Uber may have to be called. Since the liquor stores are closed Sunday, are there any bottle shops in town that are worth a visit?

Liquor stores = bottle shops. You're not going to be able to buy bottles at all on a Sunday, I'm afraid. You can buy growlers directly from some breweries, though.

This may be too much of a hassle and might cost a pretty penny, but it depends how bad you want some of the regions brews. If you have a friend in the area or are willing to Uber, you could hit up Casanova in Hudson. It's about 30 min from MSP. It has an amazing selection with almost all MN beers plus other Midwestern/Great Lakes stuff that doesn't even distro in MN. Might still have some limited TG bombers this Sunday too, which would be worth grabbing. Also, it's open on Sunday unlike the stores in MN. Again, it depends how bad you want the beer, but I just thought I'd throw it out there as an option.

Liquor Village (2289 Ford Pkwy, St Paul, MN 55116) in Saint Paul had a number of bottles both on the shelf and in a cooler.
