LNBA Saturday edition 9/22

Been sick since last Friday, decided to crack these open with my girl...

Long story short. Drove up to VT yesterday to go to the Hill Farmstead event today, rolled into Burlington at 9:30 PM last night and got in an accident (1) block from my hotel (7 hrs from home), had to be towed because it couldn't be driven with a bent axle, better yet, the other party involved had no insurance - I didn't sleep much last night. Spent the entire morning on the phone with the insurance and rental car folks and by the time it was hashed out, it was 1:00 in the afternoon. The event started at noon and I was 90 minutes away getting me there half way through before it closed down at 5:00. At that point, I was fed up with the entire ordeal (you're only getting part of the story) so I drove home only to be locked out of my house because because I took my wife's new van and only her van key (wasn't about to carry around her jailer's ring key collection), and wasn't coming home until Monday so didn't bother to take my full set of keys, the spare key outside was missing and my neighbors who have a key weren't home - my wife and kids are way north of here at a wedding and won't be home for another hour. Sooo, here I am sitting in my driveway in the dark, in a rental car, wearing my Hill Farmstead T that was intended to be proudly worn at the Festival today, and working on a bottle of Mother Of All Storms (that was supposed to be shared with some BA friends in VT because we never met up due to the circumstances) - also took a bottle of Weyerbacher XIII and an Alchemist Hell or High Water, figured MOAS was most appropriate so off goes the cap. I hope some day I can look back and laugh at this last 24 hours, Candid Camera has to be hiding somewhere in the bushes because I can't make this sh*t up, true story.

A very good RIS, but it didn't blow me away at all like I hoped it would. I will revisit. Weak aromas?


Hells yea! This is fantastic. I can't wait til my Homebrew White IPA is done. I used really tropical hops on that one, so it should be similar to this!


I have been listening to this album for 2 straight days. Music addiction is very real, and I usually listen to my favorite band's new albums for a few days straight; but this is the metal AOTY.
