    Quick review on maple Jesus boozy bourbon chocolate and a little too sweet wouldn't go out of the way to grab another one,makes me really thankful for Jackie O's bourbon barrel black maple as it blows maple Jesus away not saying maple Jesus isn't solid but next to black maple it isn't even close.

    Jackie O's added maple syrup to the beer itself, Evil Twin aged their beer in a barrel that previously held maple syrup but had been emptied prior. It's not a terribly fair comparison.

    I'm not sure it's coming to Michigan. I had a long chat with the guy at the store I frequent and the relationship btwn the distributor that owns Evil Twin, and the importer is apparently really bad.

    I traded for a bottle and wasn't all that impressed. Very sweet, and I really didn't get any maple.

    On another note, I heard a rumor that Dark Horse was going to release their version.

    I'm thinking we won't get it. I'm also thinking the rumor that Labacon and 12% are not playing nice has some merit. Oh well...plenty of other good beers in the pipeline and on the shelves....

    Anymore info on the Darkhorse version? If I can get something similar to Michigan Maple Jesus without having to offer up my first born, I'd be pretty happy.

    Evil Twin version is just a 12oz...but yeah, it is probably half the price of a 4-pack at Dark Horse.
