The rain moved out and now we're looking at more seasonable weather with a high around 50. I'm going to stay warm with some FBS.
    Have a great Sunday!

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I made a nice beer haul yesterday, so my new beer reviews are well stocked for the next couple weeks. Still working my way to 5000.

    Beer this morning:

Amazing batch this year. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with some light honey/biscuity malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, balanced grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; lightly resinous and never astringent. Increasingly drying finish. Super juicy stuff. Made sure to buy a second 4 pack last week.

Awesome coffee IPA. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced medium roast coffee, cocoa, vanilla; caramel, toasted bread malt; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel and light roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced sticky/resins and creaminess in the mouthfeel; with a touch of chalkiness from cocoa/coffee flavors. Light-moderate increasing dryness; with no hop astringency. Highly drinkable and minimal warming ABV. Pretty much perfectly balanced between cocoa/coffee and citrus/pine hop flavors. Hope Stone brings this back next year. Still tasting great, will buy more singles if I see them.

3 years old off the shelf last week, this is tasting amazing! Flavors of big raisin, plum, cherry, fig, apricot, apple, date, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted brown bread, and light molasses; with some light herbal/peppery hops. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied, with a nice creamy and lightly slick/sticky mouthfeel. Minimal dryness, but never cloying on sweetness. I am going to go grab more of this if the store has more. It was on the singles shelf, best deal ever. Underrated English Barleywine IMO. My favorite style. Had to revisit this review.

Always world class. Huge flavors of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, raisin, plum, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, coconut, and light chocolate. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness against the sweetness. Medium-full bodied, creamy/slick and slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Low alcohol warming on the finish for 12%, never boozy. The malt and barrel balance/integration is amazing. Basically a year round available offering now on the shelf. Just as great or better than Backwoods IMO. Still not completely sure which I prefer more; but I always keep both around, so it doesn’t matter! This seems to have more barrel influence over the malt though, which is really the key difference.
