Detail and pricing for Noda's 5 year anniversary canning to be released the week of Oct 23rd. All have 2 four pack limits

Sunday - Monstro - BBA Stout - $10/can (better price vs the $18 bomber from 2014).
    Monday - NoDaRyez'd - Rye IPA - $14
    Tuesday - Captain Peanut Butter’s Chocolate Revenge - Imperial Porter - $15
Thursday - Stop, Collaborate and Glisten - Golden Sour - $16
    Saturday - Good Will Hopping - NEIPA - $14

Wednesday they are also previewing their new sour base beer Boba Brett (draft only).

Congrats to Noda. Say what you want about how Hop Drop is not the same anymore (it's not) but they consistently turn out great beers in all kinds of styles.

Mmm, I really enjoyed Stop, Collaborate and Glisten the last time I had that. Too bad its a little far to drive to Charlotte daily for this.

We're going for Monstro today, I believe. Also really looking forward NoDa Rye'zd again. Good Will Hopping cans will be nice, too.

True. I've grown up on Noda's beer and was hoping to avoid that NYC price tag

NYC Price tag? Not sure if you did the math but if you convert the price to a bomber it is 13.75 for a bomber of Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Not sure you could even find that deal in NYC ! It is priced lower than what other breweries are charging.

I live in NYC now. I have paid $25 for a 4 pack, but never $40. Again, not saying it isn't worth it.

Exactly. People would be crowing about sub-$15 bombers of Event Horizon or Sexy Chocolate! I love the 4-pack of 16oz cans format...

Zero line at the moment and lots of cans. Also, for those lamenting that Hop Drop has changed, the current batch is awesome.

I think some folks hesitation with a $10 can of Monstro is with how poorly the last batch turned out (which NoDa already had dumped half of). Comparable beers in the price range, (KBS, BCBS and Black Note) are multitudes better and similar price to Monstro.

If folks are comparing a mass produced gold standard to a local brewery version...well I got nothing. You can't do it. Local will never win against a KBS, BCBS or Black Note on price or taste.

Side Note: this is getting excellent reviews on Untappd. I spent the afternoon hiking so I didn't get a chance to get any yet but hope to get some tomorrow when I swing by the taproom.

This year's version of Monstro was pretty fantastic! Having the '14 and '16 side by side, the '16 is almost a completely different beer. The vanilla oak nose is huge, and the chocolate roast is way smoother. If you're hesitating because of the last bottle release of it, don't. That was a blend of BA and non-BA beer. This is 100% bbl aged. Do your palate a favor and get some.

I can confirm this years Monstro is worlds better than 2014. Huge mouth, great barrel characteristic. Touch hot. Will age nicely me thinks.

Pretty sure I never had 2014 Monstro fresh, but compared to a bottle I had a couple weeks ago and to side-by-side on draft, 2016 Monstro is everything that the 2014 was described as being... and wasn't. Really enjoyed the new batch. Still at the brewery as of yesterday afternoon.
