Brewery Between MSP and Eden Prairie

    It's been about 15 months since I was in for a family visit. Arriving late afternoon tomorrow and the search for places in Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and Eden Prairie only showed Lions Tap as a brewery option.

    Wondering if there are places opened recently in that area to not yet have made it into the BA database?

    As far as I know Lions Tap is a bar not a brewery.

    None of the suburbs you listed have breweries at this point in time. The closest place you're going to find in that general area is LTD Brewing in Hopkins. The good news is they make nice beers, and their atmosphere is inviting.

    I think Gray's Brewing in WI brews beers labeled as Lion's Tap for them. Wild Minds opened this summer and borders Richfield in South Minneapolis. Otherwise still not much in the corridor.

    If you can, hit Surly on your way out. According to Twitter, Darkness is on tap there.

    Other than LTD, Wiconia Brewing is out that way.

    steel toe brewery in St. Louis Park is 5-6 miles north of 494 off highway 100.

    Assuming he meant Waconia here and if so, no, no it isn't on the way. It's a good 15-20 miles west of Eden Prairie depending on where you're at.

    Sorry, I forgot to use quotes around out that way. Just figured with EP looks like a destination, Waconia isn't out of the question.

    Depending on where you will be in EP, Badger Hill may be an option. It is just a short shot down 169 and west on 101, across from Valley Fair (almost).

    Enki in Victoria is out that way as well if you were going to head out a few miles. However, if you were going to do that head up to Steal Toe and LTD rather than Badger Hill and/ or Enki.

    Bald Man Brewing, Eagan, is just quick shot down 77 off of Hwy. 13 across from the outlet mall. Opens at 3pm today.

    Someone did mention it already.

    One thing to keep in mind with Wild Minds is they are not open today. That being said, it is probably best to check the hours of operation for any breweries that you plan on going to as a lot are not open all days. Nothing worse than looking forward to going to a brewery and getting there and it is closed.

    Thank you all for the options. I know the BA database doesn't have everything and the family doesn't have a clue regarding breweries so you guys were my best chance at information.
