Back on topic: kicked yet at BT or what?

 

otherhalfnycLike Whoa! The rumors are true, we are dropping our collaboration with @trilliumbrewing Like Whoa Imperial IPA(8.0%) this weekend starting at 10am this Saturday 10/29. This juice bomb is hopped with Motueka, Wai-iti, Galaxy, Topaz, Citra, and Citra Lupulin Powder. $18 per 4-pack, 1 case per person.

 

1 case limit. Saturday.

 

Popped out of work for a taste of Like Woah. Very delicious but still very green thought. Understandable considering it was brewed less than 2 weeks ago. Should be amazing in a week or 2.

 

Where did you taste it? at Blind Tiger?

 

This is an interesting release. 750 cases (according to comments earlier in this thread) 1 case limit. Since its one beer 75% of people will buying the case. Normal release of 250 cases make it past noon but there are 4 options. Im really confused as to if this will last or not.

 

I think more than 75% of people will buy the full case. If you are lining up early and buying some super hyped beer, it is human nature to just buy the limit.

Im not joking. It was a very real question. I do agree with you that people will be traveling but I was interested in hearing some other opinions.

 

How crowded is it this afternoon? Worth swinging by after work?

 

By comparison, their recent Instagram posts announcing releases have garnered about 80-100 comments per post (assuming two posts for 4 total beers). Today's post has 112 comments in less than an hour.

 

...not a single post in the Trillium thread about it yet.

 

I guess no other beers this weekend? It's probably better that way.

 

Welp. Looks like I'm getting up early on Saturday.

 

Also, I would hope this is one of the most efficient releases ever. It's basically one case per person with no decisions. Just get beer, pay, move the side.

 

Releasing only one can variant might actually infuse the hype, considering the counterpart + those/locals who have been sitting on the sidelines might be making their comeback campaign with this one as well. So, likely to see some Fuzzy, Doppelgänger, Swish, etc. check-ins absurdly early this go around.


Perhaps reminiscent of the early Dinner releases, to ensure allotment per those making the trek

 

All this whalling talk makes me do a NYC craft beer release impact on EZpass usage/revenue surge.

 

I think someone mentioned it earlier, but is this being kegged? I'd love to try it next week.

 

What time would everyone realistically suggest arriving? Going to be my first time here in a while.
I'm not traveling for the release. I'll actually be in the city this weekend
