I'm assuming they canned Sip in advance in hopes to prevent another overly acidic beer like Never & Again. But I agree - if cold storage is possible, then other than hype I really don't see a reason for lines.

i don't think any brewery will come out and say "we want lines cause it helps with hype" so they gotta come up with other BS excuses.

To be fair Monkish does do online sales for their bottled/belgain beers, some of which sell out ridiculously fast.

Seriously though. I'm getting sick of trading away all my BA vintages for this shit.

But their online sales are small batches

What happened to all the beer dudes who also do Brazilian jiu jitsu? They should get 2 packs each for enforcing. I don't think anybody would mess with those guys...

I will be out in the LA area in a few weeks, as I am one that does not like lines nor will wait in a line for an IPA what are my chances of trying some of their offerings and leaving with a 4pk or 2?

I guess that depends if they have a weekday release when you're in town and can get there within an hour or two.

Unless you're willing to trade, your best bet will be for a growler fill of some 750mls to bring back.

Thanks, I didn't think about that. We have some breweries here that will fill any growler and some that will only fill their growlers

You might want to call ahead and see if they have their own branded growlers in stock. Usually have nice flip top ones. May not be something everyone does, but I know whenever I travel for work, I make sure to hit up local breweries and grab something branded.

Those 750 ml growlers are pretty nice but I'd be paranoid about the long thin neck breaking in the checked baggage.

The 750s are great. I wish more breweries would offer/fill that size growler.

it's shaped like a wine bottle. no worries. Put it in a styro wine shipper. It is perfection.

Definitely more worried about breaking a 2L swing top than a 750ml. Really wish 750ml was available more places. It is pretty rare that I want 2L of something.

That's a good point. I know they have those roller bags that were designed to fit a wine shipper. I don't have one myself so I just wrap bottles with clothes and pack tight in luggage.

This is the most popular one

used by many to bring their growlers around, wine bottles and loons!
