I think that might be the case with some of their beers but I think you're way overgeneralizing it. For example, even staying within one style, thinking of my favorite IPAs that they have done over the years - Weedeater, Imagination of Ourselves, Alien Church, Dystopian Forest, Sea Of Green, Punge, Extra Extra Knuckle - they are all pretty unique in their own right and don't seem to be variations of something else they've done in any way. I'm sure they have done it, I mean, how many new beers do they introduce on a weekly basis? At some point some of them will blend together.

They also make great lagers and english milds, but nobody is lining up around the block to buy those. Of course they're going to make tons of IPAs and tart saisons if that's what they sell the most of.

I do agree that many of the IPAs are basically the same beer with slight variations in hops or ABV, but if you like how they make hoppy beers--and I do--i appreciate the variation. I could see how it would be annoying if you're trading for Tired Hands beers and expecting something new every time, but no one is forcing you to do that.

This sounds like a great week for cans. I love Pineal and ginger.

This might be the least amount of pre-chatter we've ever seen on a Tired Hands can release, no? This one could be a breeze.

Also, I love how they come up with all these creative and whacky (and sometimes pretentious) names for their beers, but this one they simply decided to just call it "Seasonal IPA".

It'll probably be the same as last week. Both make it behind the bar.

Regular and coffee Only Void are both fantastic beers.

Hopefully there are no hiccups with these. That would be a shame.

I would have loved to see Seasonal IPA and Oktuberfest. Canning two IPAs kind of confirms what they are in this game for, to me.

You mean to make money? Because I'm pretty sure that is what EVERY business is "in the game for."

I opened a 6 day old growler of oktuberfest yesterday and it didn't explode, wasn't flat and tasted wonderful!

That's a given, but they canned one IPA this week already.

Doing things just for money catches up eventually. Just to clarify I'm not mad they did this. You seem upset by my comment. I'm simply trying to say, a little variety would be refreshing when Pineal has been released many times before.

I wouldn't really blame Tired Hands for brewing another IPA it is what most people want. The people who "play the game", or line up for beer want nothing more then juicy IPAs. I mean what does Tree House, Trillium, Bissell Bros, Kane, or any other operation where people line up to buy beer produce..It's all IPA. The writing isn't on the wall its on a billboard in bright lights.

I'm not upset. As someone said after my comment, IPAs sell and TH is in the business of selling beer. If there was a huge demand for Pilsners or Lagers they'd brew more. But Helles Other People and Trendler are, by my eyes, their slowest selling canned beers. If those sold out by 7p on a Wednesday, I am sure they would brew and can more of it.

I find it ironic that Jean is making some killer stouts and absolutely hates them. Maybe he needs to brew more things he hates.

Pretty big cinnamon flavor in this seasonal IPA.
Me too. It's a silly situation.

Do you know first hand that Jean hates stouts? I'm sure there are many factors as to why a brewery does or doesn't brew certain styles of beer.

Hate might be a strong word. I know for a fact he dislikes them.
