Regular and Vanilla Abraxas were on draft tonight. They said the variants would be rotating during the week.

Perennial's Chicago Rep was in town last night. He said the Binny's stores will have Abraxas. The South Lakeshore store will host one of the release events.

Are they going to have more on draft tonight? I don't care about bottles, just never had a taste of Abraxas at all...

Bartender last night said Regular will be on tap all week and Vanilla, Coffee and past vintages will rotate throughout the week. I asked about BA Abraxas and just got a smile. If you get the Vanilla Abraxas let it warm up, the vanilla is very hidden when cold.

$6 a taster or $11 a glass for regular Abraxas?

I'm in Iowa, but I'll be in STL for the release on Saturday with my ticket for the noon release. If anyone has any requests from TG or Surly, I can bring some down for sharing or trading . I haven't had Abraxas in previous year releases, so I'm excited!

Thanks for the heads up guys, I was able to try both regular Abraxas and Vanilla tonight. Actually preferred regular, both were great though.

Completely agree...not sure why the fascination of the Vanilla variant. Abraxas is already brewed with vanilla and balanced nicely. Extra vanilla just drowns everything else out.

Got to try the Vanilla Abraxas for the first time yesterday. Still good, but I prefer the other variants/regular over it. Would probably be
BA Abraxas>Coffee Abraxas>Abraxas>Vanilla Abraxas. First 3 are really close though.

Vanilla wasn't on rotation when I was there, got the '14 vintage though. So smooth.

Should've stuck around, I think they put it on around... 7 or so?
