Bottles of Founders' Harvest ($7) and Backwoods Bastard ($9) on the shelves at Little Miss Whiskey's now. Two cases of Harvest, one of Backwoods (and one in the cellar, wow that beer ages beautifully)

WTF, I thought Harvest at $13/4 pack was too much.

Those are bar prices, I think.

Five of his seven career posts have been inventory posts regarding Little Miss Whiskeys. I know who he works for.

Those are bar prices- likely cheaper than anywhere else?
Thought it was obvious and I'm not trying to be secretive about owning Little Miss Whiskey's, hope nobody's offended that we promote great beer when we're able to get it in?

All good, we appreciate the posts. Don't listen to the troll(s). They love to complain...

thanks man, I thought it was just about the beer.
people ask about new releases on a thread dedicated to that topic and some of those beers are very hard to come by for all of us. our business is an option for finding some special releases, and I state the price so you can decide whether it's worth your time and effort because package retail should be cheaper. is there anything disingenuous about that?

speaking of finding new releases, how many of you use applications like Beermenus, Untappd, Taphunter, or any others when searching for specific beers (whether new or otherwise)?
I ask because those aps offer services for which our businesses can pay, but it's very hard to determine effectiveness.
thanks in advance for your input.

Not that obvious when there is a post a few above yours mentioning a bottle shop in DC selling KBS bottles for $15, I just assumed Little Miss Whiskey's was another pricey bottle shop in DC. Seem like pretty fair bar prices though.

@bat6 Feel free not to answer, but why does Little Miss Whiskey's not have any draft lines? Seems a bit unusual.

My intent wasn't "complaining", just pointing out an observation I had.

I'm not sure what the rules are for this site regarding business promotion and I'm not a moderator so it's all good to me. Bat6, I hope you stick around and contribute to the forum in a variety of ways.

I don't, but its also rare that I go searching for a specific beer on tap. If there is a specific beer that I'm looking for, I'm probably looking for it in retail to-go form. Even if I was looking for a specific beer on tap, I would not use Untappd because there is too much unreliable clutter, people check in everywhere and its really difficult to tell what is an actual bar serving the beer and what's a laundromat or made up location. To me the best thing that a bar can do is keep an accurate, up-to-date tap list online. When I feel like going out for beers I'll check all the places that I know keep accurate tap lists and make a decision on where to go based on that.

I think Beer Menus would be great if the lists were updated in real time. Seems like some, like Lost Dog are tied into their POS system. But others on Beer Menus haven't updated their list in weeks, which is worthless. I think Untappd is great for friends to share their ratings and opinions and it's a quick and easy way to check a new beer before you buy it to see if people think its a dog or not. But Untappd does seem to gaining some momentum for up to date draft lists, but again, it's only good if the establishment updates it in real time. For example I think Westover does a very good job in keeping their Untappd list up to date.

You know where I think Untappd is great when searching for a specific beer? When I'm out of town and I know a specific market, like Philly, carries something like Pliney. And I don't know the scene in that town well at all, but a quick search and you can find a place with a great beer list.

Philly has the great phillytapfinder.com -- most places there update frequently.

This! I was in San Francisco in February when Pliny the Younger was popping up in bars around town and kicking within hours every time. Not knowing what bars to follow on social media, I actually started tracking Pliny the Younger check-ins on Untappd and managed to successfully find it at a bar (and get 2 glasses) before the keg kicked.

Heading down to Baltimore this weekend from Philly. Any releases I should look out for? Hitting Max's but looking for other stuff.

RAR has a release tomorrow 10/29, but you'll have to drive to Cambridge (1.5 hours) which doesn't seem feasible. I'm still new to the area so not sure of any others. I usually spend NFL Sundays at Max's.

Heavy Seas Greater Pumpkin is a fun one. Don't think it's distributed outside MD.
You should also be able to find stuff from Monocacy, including Riot Rye and Brewtus. They're both stellar shelf beers.
