    The difference between '15 and '16 Mexican Cake implies literally nothing about the barrel-aged version (other than if say, the base beer one year was noticeably thinner or boozier or whatever). The beer that goes into barrels is just the base imperial stout with no adjuncts added, those are put in towards the end. And there's no way to guarantee the scaling would be consistent between the large non-BA batches and the BA ones in terms of how the quantity of adjuncts added affects the flavor.

    They got a batch of peppers for the 16 Cake that just was not hot, no matter how much they used. They re-dose the beer once it's out of the barrels and many people who have tried them on-site can vouch, the new peppers are damn hot. If you want heat in your BA Cake, you'll get it with the 16 batch.

    ^^^What he said, cab cake on draft was the fire. Second keg was a little more tame but hot damn, the dregs of the first keg was insane

    This is how they conducted the release last year, just folks didn't know about the tickets until someone had searched, let all their friends know and eventually it leaked. It was nice because you had about 90 minutes to get tickets. Too bad we all have a week notice.

    I would almost put money on the ticket time being accurate, just as it seems something very 'Westbrook' to do.

    The release was announced on Facebook with a link to the Brown Paper Ticket page, I don't know how long the site was live before the announcement.

    I was trying to point out the page was not intended to be live at this point which is why it's only accessible from the mobile version of the site. Notice the 'm' in the url, it's redirecting you to the mobile version of Brown Paper Tickets so that's almost certainly a bug with Brown Paper Tickets.

    There are no proxies, the person who purchases the ticket needs to actually pickup the package on the specified date.

    That wasn't the case last year. The attendees name could be different than the name on the credit card used to purchase on bpt.

    The go live date for the event is incorrect, those waiting up at midnight will be disappointed.
