Just amazed at how your palette changes over time. I had this beer a few years ago and didn't really like it. Just tried again tonight and wow, pepper cedar paradise.

One of my favorite beers. We don't get enough of it up here. Judging by their Facebook statuses, I'd probably be at CCB every single day if I lived down there. Any brewery/pub that has Firkin Fridays is a winner in my book.

I had it with a BJCP friend when i got it in. I loved the hell out of it (as i have with all all of the CCB IPAs ive had), but he didnt. Hes not a huge IPA guy, and he thought the spices didnt work. I thought they worked super well together with the hops--although I will say that the spicy cedar dominated the taste.

I thought the recent bottling of it was fantastic, vanilla, coconut, pepper. Simply brilliant!

I knew I should have picked up some at the brewery this morning, but I was already dropping $60 on Leon and that extra $9/bottle just didnt agree with the wallet

CCB has become very, very skilled at collecting my hard earned money as well.

Loved that beer. Wasn't sure what to expect, but all the flavors worked perfectly together.

Is Leon going to be bottled and distributed or just available at the brewery?

i love this beer. to me, jai alai is a subpar, overly sweet ipa but the cedar treatment is genius. if they could make a solid ipa with the cedar treatment it would be even better.

My favorite CC beer by a mile. Regular Jai Alai is kinda meh, but the cedar turns it into a great beer.

You should try to White Oak Aged Jai Alai.....

Why wouldn't they bottle this regularly into a 6 pack?

Its part of their Humidor Series. They are all bomber only. Maybe thats why.

It's a 750, but maybe you're right about the humidor thing. If they did sell it in 6 packs, and it was readily available in Ohio, I would buy it a lot. I can get it online, but the price is a bit too steep when shipping is involved.

I too would buy this routinely if it were in six...or even 4 packs up this way. Lovely stuff. Ditto the White Oak variety.

How would you compare this to the white oak? Is the wood added the same way? If you send me a bottle, I will test it for you
