Yeah I had to get back up to Springfield IL, couldn't stick around much. How was the coffee?

 

Anyone know what variant is pouring today?

 

At the bar yesterday when someone else asked, they were told that the "extra/variant" pours are rotating. The guy was asking for 2014 Abraxas and Vanilla Abraxas, and they only had Vanilla on tap at the moment.

 

Is there Seperate lines for bottle pickup vs extra bottle sales?

 

There were actually 3 "spots"(from yesterday's Coffee release).

One spot was just for the ticketed pickups. 2nd spot was just for the beer being released that day. 3rd spot was the tasting room. This was for drafts and Society beer purchases. The lines were pretty quick.

 

Anybody heading for Abraxas tomorrow should drive a few miles away and pick up some American Brown from Civil Life. Best brown this side of Cigar City in my opinion. Very impressed.

 

Heading down now from Des Moines for the 4pm session. Got some De Garde, hoof hearted, trillium, and others to share if anyone would like to meet up.

 

How much were single bottles of abraxas and coffee abraxas?

Coffee sold out Thursday. Abraxas sold out in 45 minutes.

 

What a great day! The release was beautifully managed with perfect weather. I like the coffee this year much better than last year. I tried vanilla for the 1st time & loved it. A mixture of the coffee & vanilla variants would be perfect, imo.

It was, as usual, a great bunch of people. Perennial employees, as usual, were couturier, efficient, friendly.

And then the Cellar after...I'm so glad I was able to make it.

 

That was an awesome release!!!

Was surprised there wasn't that many people that lined up and thought the line moved really fast. The share was pretty awesome and I got to try a lot of stuff I've never had.

The cellar was awesome and finally got to try some fuzzy!

 

I agree. The bottleshare beforehand made it possible to try bottles that don't distribute to MI.

 

Gonna be in Kansas City tonight and tomorrow is this distributed there and if so is there any chance it's still hanging around? Sorry don't know anything about this one, but I've heard good things.

 

It is distributed in KC. It probably hit the market last week. Call your favorite bottle shop. It does go fast.

 

Any recommendations for places to check? I'm not familiar with the area at all unfortunately.

 

Royal Liquor on 103rd will be putting a few bottles out randomly everyday for the next few weeks.
