Anyone else notice current bottles of Gravity Check being murky, copper-ish, and tasting like shitty homebrew? Hoping this is a batch issue and not a trend

Staying at the Kern Lodge isn't all that bad. Been there 6 or 7 times on some of my KRBC road trips(Citra release & other times). Other times I would camp up river. There a band playing on Friday nights. Plus the new tasting room is now open on Fridays and Saturdays. So yes more people visiting these days. And it's still pretty much the same KRBC from the days. At least at the Kern Lodge you can walk a minute or less to the brewery and stumble back 5 minutes to the Lodge. Anywhere you stay in Kernville for KRBC is a win win. Enjoy your stay.

Passed on the GC bottles this time around. Went for the Shuttle Bunny, JO and Pumpkin Ale(which tasted great last night). All 3 were pretty much fresh.

If you've never been then I would say stay overnight. Unless you have a DD with you the drive back can be f'd up. There's plenty of campsites up river. Some free. I like doing at least 2 sessions at the brewery when we go. Enjoy the atmosphere and the awesome beers. I'm sure @aquazr1 will get back here on an update just before the Citra release weekend #1.

I've been fortunate enough to win/get lucky on previous lotteries or second chance sales so I've been up a few times. My lovely wife will be accompanying myself and my brother as we imbibe and pick up our bottles. She enjoys the food and has graciously offered to drive us back home safely. We're planning on stopping at Dionysus for a couple growler fills on the way back.

I like to spend the 2nd day (morning) hiking on one of the trail and or fish up river. Do one last session at the brewery before heading home. The fried chicken(if your into it) at the store across from the brewery is really good. Just make sure its a fresh batch like the Citra.

I'll post info as I can get it. There have been a few new beers on tap lately and they had Class X at the breakfast pairing they did last Sunday. Me I'm going up on the 11th but the thing is I have a 6am flight the next morning so I'll have to take it easy.

I went out there last February from San Diego (4 hr. drive) and stayed at the Lodge for only one night. My wife and I had a great time. The town is beautiful and the food at the Brewery is really good. We are coming up again so we must have thought it was worth it.

So that it can sit in the bottles and condition for 10 days or so?

I was surprised as normally it is the same week as the first weekend of the release. We shall see...

With the new brewery and expansion of KRBC are they selling kegs to the public now? If so, what? JO, Shuttle Bunny, Class V, etc? @aquazr1 @KRBCEric

Not sure what they are bringing but they will be at O'Brien's tonight and Toronado tomorrow. Also were at Brody's Burgers and Beer earlier today.
