Short's Brewing Releases & Updates (2018)

So I picked up a six pack of Double Magician today. It is amazing! I'll definitely be picking more up over the next couple months. So good I almost forgot about Aorta ale. Almost. Still prefer Aorta but this is damn close.

 

12 pack variety arrived at Meijer today.

 

Allow me to offer up a counterpoint.
First, let me praise @coolhandwuke . His recipes are indeed skilled, and I Got 5 on It is a fine ale. And any man who's beers pay tribute to 90's hip hop and George Funkin Clinton is A-1 in my book. (although a Heavy D or MC Brains would seal the deal for me). Seriously, thanks to @coolhandwuke.
But let us remember not forget @HopHeadHerman and his request. Has he not answered countless questions from Short's loving BAs over the years? Should we not give back this one small request ? Who wouldn't like to cool out in the middle of June and July with a refreshing Pineapple ale? We see experimental stouts and IPAs and golden ales. . . What about the humble pilsner?
I must also confess that Pineapple Pilsner is the only one of the four I haven't had the chance to try, and I await the chance to crack one open. Let us vote, and vote well!

Right now I'm in the middle of my Anny Ale bomber and I've forgotten how big it is. Oh my.

 

Are you on the west side or central Michigan ?

 

Jackson. Was thinking about it...but it's 27.99......

 

And it's worth every penny at that price point.

I didn't see it today at the Meijers I work at....Kalamazoo area....Hopefully we do get it....Be nice just to pick it up on my way out....or maybe as I punch in.

 

It wasn't put out yet where I'm at. It's supposed to go on the center aisle thing with the liquor gift sets..

Just want to give a shout out to all the Shorts guys here. I may not like all of the 40,000 different releases you guys do every year, but I definitely look forward to about a dozen of them. And your communication and fun you bring to the thread is infectious.

 

For West Metro Detroit area folks, got word that one of the stores I check in with is getting it Friday. Another usually gets shipments Thursday's, so we can expect the variety pack towards the end of the week.

 

If that's the case, either Saturday morning or Sunday morning will not be fun for me...or maybe both... I'm geeked for this pack. Stache Bender is my shangri la.

 

Which Meijer in Jackson the one off 94 or the one off 127. My wife works in Jackson and I'm trying to persuade her to grab this for me after she gets off work

 

Any guess as to how much they had?

 

Off 127. I'll check the other store today. They aren't out on the shelf yet though and won't be till this weekend I think

 

Big thanks to @Grupatre for the heads up last night. Hit Meijer in Ann Arbor on the way home from work and picked up two. It was pricey ($27.99/each) but totally worth it.

They didn't have that many - there were maybe only 10 or 12 left.

 

No prob. Were they in the center aisle? Or in the cooler? I think the store I was at got 7 cases so 14....

 

That'd be awesome if you found out about the other store. I'm heading back to Detroit tonight through the weekend, so hoping to be able to grab one or two of them, but it'd be great if I found somewhere off 94 on the way back tonight to quickly lock one down.

 

The world will continue to turn without another IPA on the shelves. I can't say I have seen many pineapple beers on the shelves. Vote BAs!
