Yea especially after having Bells Roundhouse last night. That beer is a great red. Red Sand was just malt and muted flavors. Real low in the carbonation department too.

I also ended up with an oxidized can of even mo. Can was probably an ounce short of full too. It looks like a brown ale. the aroma is still great and the taste is pretty good. I imagine that this beer would be incredible if right.

Wonder if they have any left.

Also does anyone know if 3pm is the new opening time? Really liked the 12pm opening as I am usually there early for work and leave the area around lunch.

I haven't heard first hand but the Facebook hours for today are 330-830. Perhaps those weren't updated when they changed to 12 in the summer

Day drifter, 120 cases was released on Monday and they still have some at open today according to the same post. Other than that this is only the third mid week release they have done. Fade to Jade was the first and it went much faster than the day drifter.

When i went last night to pick up the DD, it seemed to just be locals hanging at the bar, i was the only one that was leaving with cans at the time. so cant be sure, but they probably will be

I got there at 315 and there was only 2-3 people in there. Maybe a few showed up before me but mostly just locals with dogs drinking beer. As I was there for about 15 mins probably less than 5 people came in to get beer, and most didn't max out. I only got 2 4-packs and a 4-pack of day drifter (this batch is awesome!). I wouldn't expect it to move real fast.

    I'm loving these mid-week drops.

So what's it gonna take for Sand City to make One and Even Mo Mofo rotating beers? Drank a can of One last night after having had some incredible beers the past few days (Green, Like Whoa, etc.) and One was just as good, if not better, than the heavy-hitters. Not buying the full allotment is probably my biggest regret in life so far.

I think the biggest obstacle would be acquiring a contract for galaxy hops. It's extremely hard (not to mention expensive) to get a contract which can allocate enough on a consistent basis. Otherwise breweries just luck into some.

Thanks to you both on that... fingers crossed tonight and maybe a few growlers too ... any idea when more even mo would then be canned? As these don't spend long in tanks if I remember correctly?

agreed on the day drifter, its really really good. I had one after a Like Whoa, and though they are totally different beers, its just as impressive.
I wasnt that impressed with day drifter the first time I had it, but they have clearly put some of what they learned from One into this batch.
It was relatively busy when i was there around 630 last night, but I think cans will last til tonight for sure

I would guess that it will be another surprise release. They like the idea of having cans available on the regular and also when you do surprise releases people seem to not max out whereas a release where people line up you get many max outs. By having surprise come get cans today type releases, they not only drive business during the week but they also eliminate a lot of the drama that goes along with big releases (ie the debate about drinking on lines, line cutting and general line bad behavior, things selling out when people drove a long way and they get mad, etc). Whilst the surprise releases are not the best for those who don't live on LI, they are sublime for us locals since it seems you just need to find some time that week to get out there to score cans. Unless you are a true local, sand city is a 20 min cruise from the major parkways, but I don't mind the detour if cans last a bunch of days and I can swing by when timing is good for me as opposed to having to drop everything to make a special trip or free up hours of time in the morning to wait on line.

Totally... I think it works great for them for those reasons and they continue to grow in a real nice way... I had emailed them months back and got an immediate helpful response..I hear nothing but great things and am excited to check it out tonight
