Finally after a few months, and to my surprise, my beloved Zywiec Porter and friends are back at my local beer store! Today i got some porter to stash away, but the regular lagers and Eazy-Ivan malt liquors will be consumed sooner rather than later. Cheers!

A Russian Imperial Stout from De Dochter van de Korenaar.

I know I should have had this one yesterday. It was only this afternoon that I found this beer in a interesting beer shop in the city of Rotterdam. De Dochter van de Korenaar (Dutch brewers from Belgium) produces unbelievable great beers.

Today has been a day of both joy and sadness. The Cubs Championship is sinking in and while the parade was in progress I visited my grandparents and uncle at the cemetery with WGN radio playing the highlights. Throughout my life every visit to my grandparents, which was often, they have the Cubs game on tv. My grandfather passed away 8 years ago and while living to the ripe old age of 92 never got the chance to see the culmination of the wait. My uncle, who passed away 7 years ago brought me to my first game at Wrigley against the Mets in '91 when I was 9. They're the type of fans to be proud of. I'm spending some time alone to think about them and have a beer to celebrate the milestone. Zombie Dust.

 

My cousin popped in for a surprise visit, this local beer was a pleasant surprise!

 

Enjoying a Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Photobucket sucks and I won't even try again. This one is for all you Cubs fans, glad you got to enjoy the series and the parade. Cheers!

My domestic beer will be changing from this (imagine a Goose Island Honkers Ale with an Admiral's Club wifi code under it while loathing Photobucket) to things more German/Austrian/Slovenian .

 

Good afternoon, BAs! It feels weird not posting a pic...um, yeah, so drinking a Whole Hog pumpkin ale.

I did a blind pumpkin beer tasting at my Halloween party last weekend, and this was the beer that came in first. I still think Schlafly is better, but this one is quite pleasing too.
