No argument from me regarding witbiers, but I believe that Blue Moon may have been on the market before Spotted Cow.

Edit: If not before, they both were on the market at close to the same time.

Blue Moon launched in 1995, Spotted Cow in 1997. Mostly, however, I don't care.

Always good to learn, thanks for the correction. That said, I highly doubt Dan looked at Blue Moon and said, "We should make a bigger version and slap the Spotted Cow name on it."

I wonder if it'll be tweaked at all. The brewery, I think, would make more profit off of the 750 mL sales. Not saying it'l be worse, just wondering if it'll be different. Maybe lighter and tarter like the Cran-Bic?

Awesome. Any word on the rest of them for next year?

Apple will be gone for the entire year, Scream will stay year round. Enigma will make an appearance and Cherry Stout I believe. Don't remember the rest of the lineup. Black Top and Road Slush will make a return, perhaps Cabin Fever as well. Beechwood rep rattled all of them off so fast that I didn't even have time to think.

Appreciate all of the info. No Cran-Bic next year?

No I don't believe so. That would of stuck with me being my favorite and all.

@Vitacca Another year without Hometown Blonde or Edel Pils? Depressing...

    What about Zwickel?

Yeah me too. Enigma & Cran-bic alternating years would be cool with me.

Hometown Blonde will be brewery only, assuming in the same way Zwickel was. Berliner will be back as well. Cabin Fever will be back in January.

Someone on here said the Berliner didn't cellar well. Anyone else have any experience with it?

Berliners aren't really for cellaring as a whole. They're not like lambics. New Glarus Berliner is even less so; since it's pasteurized, the only real flavor change will be through oxidation, which won't suit the style at all.

Better than nothing. Does that mean Zwickel won't be released this year then?
Glad to have Berliner back, too.

Awesome! The strawberry rhubarb was one of my favorites, I'm glad to hear it's (or something like it) coming back.

I'd assume not, but Zwickel has been released under the radar a few times since it's initial drop, so who knows for sure.

So for 2017 Thumbprints I've got (according to this thread):
    Berliner
    Enigma
    Cherry Stout
    Strawberry Rhubarb
    Scream

All retreads... At least The Cherry Stout hasn't made an appearance in the last few years. The rest of them, not so much.

As much as I love New Glarus beers, their Thumbprints are starting to sound like a broken record.
