Black IPAs are associated with the Pacific Northwest, Space Needle is in Seattle so...maybe>?

I know i'm in the minority here, but the last avoiding purgatory (black ipa) was on of the best beers i've had at the ferm. If they can that, or something of the likes, i'll be happy since i know it'll be an easy day.

Maybe a coffee IPA. That would be awesome!

Tired Hands, one of the weirdest breweries out there, says they are brewing something weird that they've been dreaming about for a while, and so far the guesses are:

    -traditional piney ipa
    -black ipa
-double Alien Church (so, double ipa)
    -coffee porter
    -coffee ipa

Come on, these guys brewed a gose with ants! My guess is a saison boiled with sea snails and fermented with kimchi.

Exactly! Not to mention their "Seasonal IPA"...well let's just say that is one hell of an oddball in my book.

Addressing a few other recent comments here, don't be too down on Black IPAs--I thought I hated them too, then Hoof Hearted changed my mind with Cultrider which is a perfect marriage of attributes.

It's got ET on the cover and the starburst design from Only Void.

    I'm predicting Reeses Pieces Stout/Porter

Drinking a MagoTago right now from the 09/28 so-called "disaster" canning. Definitely lost a lot of the bitter burn it had originally, but unfortunately I think it lost some flavor as well. This is my last can and thought about sitting on it for several months but figured it would only fall off from here. I thought it was a 4/5 fresh and now might be a 3.75/5.

Agreed completely. I ended up returning them a couple weeks ago when I realized that was the case. I thought it was actually really good at about 10 days post-release, and it quickly fell off.

This actually sounds pretty good. Throw in an IPA and that's a pretty good release.

I've always wondered, why don't we BA's stick together at these releases? I always love meeting new people. I plan to get there for late lunch and stay for cans. I'm not fighting these chair people, I'm bringing one and sticking it in line. It hasn't been shut down by now then nobody cares.
