Backwoods Bastard is hitting SW Ohio today.

 

I was impressed with their beer. The food looks good too but I haven't had a meal there. The coconut porter was very tasty. Reminded me of Kitka a little bit.

Save a couple of Jackie O's anniversary parties, that is the best taplist I have ever seen in Ohio.

 

I'm just curious, as I wasn't following this thread at the time, but when Brew Kettle had the Founders rep in the house that included a lineup with CBS a year or two ago, was it posted and discussed here? The place was fairly packed but it was tolerable. I don't think I'll make Small City, but trying to gauge how crazy it might get regardless.

 

Did I miss WBC releasing BA Nutsmasher, or is this going to be the first tasting of it? Seems odd that a bar will be releasing it before the brewery does.

 

On a similar note what is Weasel Nut Smasher?

 

My guess is it incorporates Kopi Luwak coffee (aka Weasel Poop).

Was my first thought, but had not heard anything about this variation. I usually enjoy most coffee beers, but not sure how I feel about a coffee peanut butter beer.

 

Regular Nutsmasher has coffee in it, as does Infusion A. Both are pretty damn delicious.

I'm curious as to what barrel aging does to a peanut butter beer. Has anyone had any other BA peanut butter anything before? I've only had one other, by Jack's Abby, but it was PB&J, and I think it was starting to turn. It was by no means a good example, as their other BA Framinghammers were excellent.

 

Untappd has Weasel Nutsmasher logged with this exact description. I also am surprised a sushi bar in Sandusky is going to have BA Nutsmasher before Willoughby. This makes me wonder if it will make a surprise appearance at WBC this weekend as well.

 

Having been there on a Saturday in the past with a taplist that was good, but nothing like this, it got very busy. I imagine this will just be insanity and just not worth it (for me)... I just don't care for crazy/hectic places, regardless of how good the taplist lol

 

hoppin has infusion a (please don't hate for liking a hoppin beer), which is a coffee peanut butter, and I'm not ashamed to say I've drank a LOT of it.. it really works well.. that's the only one I know about.. would love to try Willoughby's!

 

WBC peanut butter cup coffee porter is also delicious and obviously has coffee in it.

 

They're not just a random sushi bar. Kha, the owner, is good friends with a lot of guys in the business, Rick included. So I am not surprised they will have BA Nut Smasher. They've had Weasel Nut Smasher before. I would hope this means that we will see BA Nut Smasher on tap at Willoughby soon.
