Breweries Opening in the Minnesota 2016/2017

I didn't see that. I was making assumptions.

 

Wicked Wort did a hazy IPA over the summer that was terrific. It was citra/mosaic with oats/wheat and tangerine juice added. It was quite delicious. I hope they bring it back.

Roets posted this morning they officially have license from state and are brewing tomorrow.

So let's talk Saint Paul downtown/lowertown for a brief second. Up to now we've only had Tin Whiskers down there who I think have a nice little taproom but not impressed with their beer so far.

In development for 2017 we will have Looney Bin brewing , 12 Eyes Brewing, and Barrel Theroy going in .

Joe Alton at Growler said there are 2 more breweries not mentioned by name that are looking at that location now .

Anyone know who that might be?

 

The best part is since they were "opening soon", we have brewed many many beers and even barrel aged and drank much of that beer. We are still waiting.

If by that location you mean Lowertown, then yes. Clutch is another that had been associated with the downtown area in general.

I haven't heard of any others (at least not any others which have exhibited signs of forward momentum) in at least eight months, now.

 

I believe the Seestedts building is destined for Lowertown Brewing Company. I do not know where Clutch is thinking. Then last I heard the first-level space in the Jax building is being shopped as a potential brewery space.

 

I believe the Seestedts building fell through for Lowertown BC.

 

Clutch we're looking at East Saint Paul last I heard but that may have changed

 

Interesting. Well, my only other add here would be the discussions I heard around that building (this past Summer) were that the building owner(s) want to own this future brewery and then hire the brewers/staff to run it. How we all feel about that strategy is a separate conversation.

 

I really hope they change their name by the time they open. They have a commanding lead for douchiest brewery name.
