I thought the last 4 bottles were good, but just not my cup of tea. I'm not big on scotch (but i do have a wavell and a dread still to see what time does), and Manhattan and Blendy were not exactly what I was expecting (surprised at the thinness of blendy). Again, they are all delicious, but I think the styles of beer aren't what most were looking for. If Blendy Bar had been a stout or a barleywine and not a blend, it would have been long gone.

Now if they could just find some more bottles of Appalachian Walker around...

We had so much fun at the Omega Point release last year, we're bringing a larger group down for Spectrum. And since we got tix for Fonta Flora, that'll be the next stop on our tour.

What's bottleshare protocol for Friday night? How many bottles should we bring? I won't bring the local stuff, but do you all get Uplands/Caseys/Three Floyds/New Glarus down there at shares?

I'm also curious to know how many we should plan on bringing to the share. Never been to one at Olde Hickory.

Some Upland but no Three Floyds, New Glarus, or Caseys.

I've gone overboard in the past, but I'd say 2 bombers a person. Is more than enough.

I hope you all get so drunk Friday night that you forget to buy full allotments on Saturday... It's my only hope...

Whatever you normally do for a share would be fine. There will be too many people for *everyone* to try *everything*, so no worries. Lotsa cool people with lotsa cool beers, come and have fun.

Define normally lol. I've been to shares where everyone brings 2 bombers, but I've also been to shares where people bring a cooler full (15+ bottles).

For you locals, is there parking at the brewery or do you recommend the public lot in between the taproom and station?

No parking really at the brewery. You can park on the street or in one of the public lots. I'm sure the one beside the station and the post office will fill first.

They shut down early (I think around 9:00) so I think a cooler full would be overkill. I usually bring three or four bottles.

Is there any other events going on in Hickory next weekend? Looks like many of the hotels are fully booked.

What time does the bottle share start?
Do they not allow any other bottle share participants after a certain time - 10PM, 11PM, etc?

Could be something at the convention center. That is where most of the hotels are. Right off I40. There will be the farmers market downtown. In between the station and tap room but that doesn't start until 10am I think.

Share starts @ 6pm and goes to 9pm.

Anyone having a post-share share? 9pm is pretty quick to finish a share.

Agreed. Having a 6-9pm bottle share on a Friday is a tight window.....

There is a "shuck and peel" seafood festival in lieu of the farmers market this weekend but it starts at 1PM. I can't imagine that would fill up hotels though.

I always bring a cooler full of bottles and finish the night drinking drafts or sharing bottles at my house.

I want to know how many people are planning on pulling an 'all nighter' outside OHB? It is going to be below freezing...I don't want to wait in line all night if I don't need to, but I will do whatever is needed to make sure that I obtain my allotment.
