Trying to pretend like nothing happened last night. Oh who am I kidding, I need a beer for breakfast. Cheers!

 

Good morning BAs! A rainy morning here in NE PA, "The Wilds" as they refer to us in Harrisburg. Good thing I got the leaves raked and burned yesterday because it looks like winter might be finally coming. I'm going with an old favorite today because my sense of smell is kind of wacky from yesterday's smoke and I don't want to rate a new beer when I can't smell it.


Always good, even in these dinky bottles!

 

Still getting lots of juicy tangerine, but now see solid floaties - although well past it's prime I would drink again if I had more...

 

Played hopefully not my last round of golf this morning. Played the last five holes even par, so if it is my last round, I finished strong.
Back home, rummaging around in my fridge, found this lonesome guy.

Well BA's, it's a new day in a new world I guess. The tone has been set here already with some "subtle" posts , and doesn't seem to be much chit chat. I'm usually full of converse energy this time of the day, and even though I've already said more than most, I think I'll leave you all to your thoughts. But first, it's time for the Glass of the Day Awards.

GotD: I won't make the same mistake two days in a row. Cheers and congrats to @dcotom for this insane and gorgeous balancing act of a Badash Polish glass that he swiped from a poor 87 year old woman!
2nd: Yet another perfectly proper and serene scene (except for that little crumb of cheese or whatever it is) from @Beer-Panda with this Grotten chalice.
3rd: Not sure if yours has been awarded before or not. Either way I don't care. To @smakawhat for my favorite...the Thistle.

Well the sun came up in the east, my heart is still beating, and the rumor of a huge market crash hasn't materialized yet. I guess I'll celebrate another day on this planet with a beer 'the man' paid me to drink. The first few sips aren't revealing anything I'd consider off putting. Thanks for buying me a round InBev! Off to mow some leaves between sips.....

 

Clearing out the cellar in preparation for the onslaught of stout season and stumbled across this poor guy. It's infected, of course, but the infection makes it tastes like a tangier version of the Regal Rye, not actually that terrible. Having a few sips for sentimentality and science.

We're not allowed to talk about that thing that happened yesterday, so I'll just say that I'm choosing to fill my mind with the beautiful things this country has contributed to the world. These are two of the most spectacular humans to ever walk the earth and I'm proud that they're American. Happy hump day, ya'll.

 

It's a comfort to have WBAYDN and GotD today.
