Yes, 23.99 is the single going rate. I think it was 19.99 just 2 years ago? But why does this surprise me if true....

 

Yeah the prices for a lot of beers is getting just silly now. It's not like the regular Abraxas is barrel aged or anything. I had the opportunity to get multiples yesterday and stuck with the one.

 

I grabbed 2....I will never learn

 

I got my one bottle at LP Binny's the other day and decided one was enough. Last year I grabbed 3 because I liked it so much the first time I had it. I've had it a few more times and it's not really as great to me as I first thought. 2 BCBS regulars vs. 1 Abraxas??? Easy choice for me.

 

Agreed 100% purely from a financial perspective, of course.

 

Any word on WLV capones or beer temple? I went by there yesterday and they still didn't have it for sale. Trying to score one for a friend that is coming into town for prop day.

 

Went in beer temple last night for Dynamite Lazer Beam and he thought late this week

 

I remember last year WLV did a release for Abraxas bottles the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was 1 pp. Not sure if they're doing the same this year. Check their website.

 

Sonofagun....every year I say I won't pay for it but I end up doing so and not regretting it!

 

I was told today for Beer Temple.

I had heard they did that release in conjunction with Perennial, and that release was moved to LP Binny's this year (apparently it rotates amongst a few stores). Not sure when they're getting it.

 

Is this for sure or were they speculating they would get their delivery today?

 

Well, nothing in beer distributing is for sure until is shows up. I was told they would get it today, that's all I know. He seemed pretty confident, and I would think that if they have a good enough relationship with Perennial to be one of their "rotating stores" that gets to do an official Abraxas release, then they should have a good sense for when they're getting it.

Just back from Beer temple. There was plenty but it was rolling out fast.

I was there. Variants were gone by about 6:45 PM I'd say, maybe a bit earlier. Out of the group, I preferred the coffee (I think I'm in the minority). The coffee was there but that Abraxas base was unmistakable (loads of cinnamon up front). The coffee cut that sweetness very well, even though the mouthfeel was a bit thinner than Vanilla Bean Abraxas and thinner than I expected. Place was very busy once 6PM rolled around. But if you got there at 5:30, there were still seats at the bar available.
