If the Monkish collab follows the Like Woah schedule we will be looking at another off weekend release on 11/26. Pure speculation.

I don't know how to post pics from Untappd on here from my phone but if you look up Other Half on Untappd someone posted a pic of the taplist an hour ago: veldrijden love, forever simcoe, Mosaic/waimea, Doug, short dark and handsome, forever ever, Mylar bags, citra/equinox, ddh ace, smokescreens, flowerzzz and hop showers

On my second can, it has definitely mellowed out but I'm not getting any over powering maltiness. Still tastes fantastic to me.

I really hope this Monkish collab isn't a triple IPA. Anywhere between 6%-8% would be ideal

Hopefully it doesn't involve Mangoes #Never&Again

I just finished off a DDH ACE, wow. What a beer. I thought regular ACE was fantastic and, somehow, this was even better. Spicy, dank, citric...everything I would want in a DIPA.

5 cans? Ugh I don't have the fridge space for this volume.

If you've had JFK 2 LAX I don't think you would be saying this. That beer was phenomenal and blows AGE out of the water.

    I haven't, I'm just not a fan of triples.

I'm not sure what it was like fresh, but I had a two-month old JFK 2 LAX last week and it was excellent

JFK2LAX was in fact amazing. At the end of the day though, it tasted way more like a Monkish beer than an Other Half beer.

It's tough to say we are going to get an equally amazing product from this collab. A lot of a beer's flavor highly hinges upon where it was brewed, not who is doing the brewing. Water profiles, house yeast strain, fermentation conditions, etc have a whole lot to do with the final result.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure we will still get an amazing beer out of this collab. I'm just saying, those expecting JFK2LAX Version 2 are probably going to be a little let down.

The beer fans in Boston also thought they were going to get an amazing beer when Monkish was in town for a collab... Fingers crossed ours turns out better.

Those keg prices seem pretty crazy. What are you all paying for a pint of this stuff up there?

One would think they wouldn't do 11/26 since so many people will be out of town, but who the hell knows.

OH's keg prices are ridiculous. I only assume they charge it because people will pay it.

That is not the pricing. From what I understand that is for personal consumption.

Granted, the 1/2bbl kegs of the limited stuff aren't cheap, but very reasonable if you match it up with what they're charging at the brewery for pours/fills.
