Was only able to find 2 singles last week. Man, I wish I could land a case of this stuff. Amazing.

The website lists different hops than on the bottle. That gives a consumer a lot of confidence there is no funny business happening here.

I bought two more six packs of it yesterday. I will continue to buy it until I can't anymore. This might make my top IPA of the year.

Go to the source. I was there Saturday night. They had sixers in the store, as well as a pallet sitting in the warehouse. Still quite a bit left there.

This batch of born yesterday is easily the best one Lagunitas has ever done and it's probably my favorite hoppy beer from Lagunitas at this point. Massively grapefruit and orange pith forward.

Agreed. Waldo's was my favorite up to this point, but this is probably even better. Great stuff, especially at the price point.

This is just sitting at my area TW. It seems like two sold since my first pickup. I've bought double of what my 1 mil plus metro area has bought.

    Ridiculous

Biked over there on my lunch break. Bought a few 6 packs and there were a few other people doing the same while I was there. This stuff is amazing. Thanks for the solid idea.

Someones ought to try this. Maybe I'm just buzzed.

I went to quick chill two bottles of this stuff, and one basically froze. I let it get back down to drinking temp, and noticed particles in the bottom of the bottle of the one that froze initially. The other beer is less hazy.

Someone here mentioned chill haze, or cold crashing etc... I had never seen visible particles before slightly letting one of my beers "freeze". It's like I woke up some sort of particle that may have been sitting on the bottom of the bottle since it was bottled.

Now I wonder if the same thing happens with other random beers

Nah, what happens is the proteins floating in the beer start to basically crowd together as the temp lowers. Proteins need thermal energy to stay soluble/mixed in solution. When you crash the temperature, they no longer have enough thermal energy and start to crowd together. It might look more hazy, but that is probably just because the particles are now large enough that you can more easily see them. Also, as the particles of protein crowd together and get larger, they sink because the particles have enough mass that the force of gravity is larger than their inherent brownian motion, which is what usually keeps them floating in the beer.

    @acstuart
That makes perfect sense. I noticed that the beer that was frozen prior took a good hour or longer to nearly reach the same non apparent hazy level as the regular. I still want to say that the beer may have never returned back to the original state (or it may have taken an overnight refrigeration). After an hour, it still seemed "different". This along with altitude, serving temp, and drinking temp may have much to do with the variance in what we are seeing as far as sorta hazy to full on hazy.

I should note, I caught zero flavor differences and only since I had a light next to my laptop, did I notice more prominent "floaties" of one vs. the other. I should also add that the floaties at the bottom of the previously frozen beer could have been kept in the bottle, as I could have decanted a bit better. I was interested in the floaties though.

I've homebrewed for years and read quite a bit. But for what seems like the first time ever, I caught the same beer in two different states. I don't think I ever let that happen before, So I was quite intrigued. Apologies if my quick sighted insights seemed amateurish.

Glad you were able to secure some. I think I've purchased two cases! Granted a few sixers were for friends.

Does anyone know what the grain bill is in this? I'm always curious to know that kind of stuff. I know they list the hops, but the malt is what makes or breaks an IPA.

My guess is 2-row barley. It didn't taste too sweet like crystal or too pale like pilsner. I got a pretty solid bready grain note from it which is usually just a standard barley malt from my experience.
