Council Brewing launching in Maryland tomorrow with some awesome sounding sour beers at Maxs!

 

I actually would disagree. I really enjoyed this beer, particularly because it wasn't like every other BA stout out there. The barrel flavor was subtle, as opposed to dominating like it does in so many BA stouts, and I actually thought it worked nicely as a complement to the base beer and the maple. That said, I'm also a staunch defender of KBS, and I know that some people think that beer's severely overrated because it too has a subtler barrel flavor. If you're looking for a big bourbon and barrel character, look elsewhere.

 

Come on people! Give me a reason to go on a wild chase!

Unless something's changed in the last week, DC proper doesn't get Cigar City. It's a Northern VA-only thing.

 

Right - picked some up last week at TW Mclean & TW Springfield.

 

Evil Twin Michigan Maple Jesus at Craft Beer Cellar as of last night. I'm sure that means it's elsewhere too.

 

Anyone know what's happened to the Maine beer co presence in nova recently? It may not be a fair question, but I used to see rows and rows of Mo at TW McLean on the regular. I haven't seen a single bottle there in several months. I know CBC just got some in but that place isn't super convenient and that's before we discuss parking

 

I park in the Giant across the street, much better than trying to find street parking.

 

Wonder how long it will be until Minute Maid makes them change the label, they use the exact same font and even put an orange on it.
