Just got an invite today, so you can count on me, except most likely on a blend of shit and bt or just shit. BT is just way too sweet and boozy at this point. Anyway, if you want to create the ultimate vanilla bomb stout, join my team. I will consider maple and/or coffee additions.

We just got Thursday. There's Vanilla I'm home it's Friday, Sassafras Saturdays and Maple Sundays

 

Hey, I can't help it if I think outside the box

As for all these flavors, they have flat out told people before to not do a straight vanilla BT or basic things. They are looking for complex ideas they can work with. The winners tend to have themes, like the raspberry cupcake Paul did last year.

Don't get me wrong, I think those all sound great, I just don't see any of them winning.

Also, don't forget you must BLEND the beers. Nothing can be just straight BT or Anni, etc.

 

I'd love to see a blend of Rue Sans, Sour in the Rye, Beauregarde, and Otiose. Maybe with a splash of Mother Funker and Batch 50. That would make my life complete. Thinking about it, I have all those, maybe time for a tasting and leave a little in each bottle for the finisher.

I'd like to see Dirty Beaver Juice Weekend (never "officially" released in bottles, but I bought one a few years ago at a beer-centric BBQ place in Seal Beach that shall remain nameless).

As for the blending sessions, I really hope someone is able to come up with something that is simple/straight-forward (vanilla? coconut?) and doesn't involve obscure spices (or really any spices) and isn't a mocktail. Honestly, I think the blending sessions are a bit played out.

 

I'd really like to see fresh batches of Otiose and Ichigo Highway.

 

Anyone know if there's any more Matrimoniale out there? I think it'd be neat to serve it at my own wedding.
