    Oh whoops yep you're right.

Any of you guys snag the NoDa releases these past few days? Enjoyed them?

I got Monsto, Captain PB and NodaRyzed. Monstro is really really good. NodaRyzed is an old favorite and tastes great. Really dig the Captain PB choc revenge. It doesn't taste like some of the PB2 bombs out there. More like roasted peanuts and chocolate (more chocolate than PB).

Hoping to stop in Sunday and try the rest. As of today they still had cans of everything left.

Depends on what you're looking for but IMO either Wooden Robot's That's What He's Having or WW's Pernicious.

I'll chime in to say I also think BB Long Stride is my favorite IPA from the state to date, surpassing Juiceless, Double Death Spiral, and Hubris in that order. Good news is that I was told at the brewery they'll be making it again next month. I am also a big fan of BB Local, particularly the latest Jade/Chinook batch which is a dead ringer for Bissell Brothers Substance in my book. Also agree that the latest batch of Steel String Cryin Holy in 12oz bottles is terrific and reminds me of Freak. I think they've tweaked the recipe for the better in moving to the smaller bottles versus the bombers.

Yeah they're making Long Stride again with a different hop bill, I believe citra in place of the galaxy from last time. Will be interesting to see how similar or different it is.

    Looking forward to this.

I hope BB starts distributing cans also. Based on their recent popularity, I can see that becoming a reality sooner rather than later.

I hope so too, but they can barely keep up with demand now as is so I wouldn't expect it any time really soon.

Folks, High Branch in Concord had their first can release today, McGill Ave - a Hazy IPA with 7%abv. I picked some up and this stuff is Very solid for their first can release.

Was a little let down by Eureka Ceremonial. Not bad by any means, but just not quite the flavor and nose intensity that I had come to expect from Ceremonial. This one is more comparable to a regular session IPA instead of a cut above like usual. Oh well, one of them was bound to be my least favorite.

Thanks for passing that along as I had forgotten they used different hops in this most recent distro. I suppose I have too much beer in the fridge to buy some anyway, but ceremonial is usually a staple for me.

Saw on ig that state of beer had some mbc lunch bottles for sale yesterday, but they were sold out by 5pm. Anyone on here able to snag a bottle or two?

    Bottle share???

I went to The Durty Bull last night. Had their rice IPA and it was delicious. A lot better than I expected it to be.

I had the opportunity to try the Brett IPA on draft recently and thought it was quite nice - I will have to make an effort to try some more of their offerings.

Bond Brothers tapped Skim, a 3% milkshake IPA w/apricots over the weekend. Pretty tasty.

Nothing too exciting (IMO) in terms of fresh IPA's around town right now... Though, I'm sure you can get some fresh Pernicious or Freak at WW. Tasty got in some fresh Breaking Bud yesterday. Sours - WW still had some framboos morte, metatropics and la bonte pear bottles few days ago... and out of their recent sour releases, I like Guajava the best. And if you like stouts, still some bottles of Dark Arts and Dark Age at the Funkatorium.

Heading to my sister's in Charlotte for Thanksgiving. My brother in law has 9 breweries planned to visit the day after Thanksgiving which I'm really looking forward to. I've been to several before NoDa, Bird Song, Old Meck, and another I can't remember.

But the point of this question is what are the best canned beers in the Charlotte area that I can bring back? Going straight to a brewery to get them won't be a problem. I've had Hop Drop N Roll, Hoppy Holidays, and Jam Session from NoDa and the Jalapeno Beer from Bird Song. Anything better than those I should look out for? Or anything else easily available in Charlotte to bring home? Thanks!

Grab crowlers at Heist and Wooden Robot. They're just bigger cans.
