Thanks for the heads up. I doubt I'd get that lucky. I'd love some PS or GN, but I know even that's a bit of a stretch.

 

Tenutas has the best Italian sausage but being an Italian deli, I don't believe they sell brats.

The SuperValu in paddock lake makes their own brats. They have a bunch of different flavors that always rotate. The packer brats are pretty damn good, jalapeño and cheddar. It would be right on your way if you took 50 instead of 11.

And while I have your guys' ear, is there anything out of the ordinary (not whalez) that I should be on the lookout for? I've really only had the New Glarus stuff, Central Waters, Karben 4 Fantasy Factory, and some of the TG offerings. I like the (big) IPAs and heavy/complex stouts mainly, but appreciate a good beer of any style.

And I hope to catch the Patriots/Bills game on Sunday. Is there a better spot than the Brat Stop that will show all the games and have some local food? Admittedly, I'll probably be meated-out by Sunday, but you never know...

 

Uncle mikes is right across 94 from brat stop. They have something like 80 beers on tap and enough tvs that you could ask them to put the game on one of them if it's not already. Good food too, except for the chicken sandwich.

 

I was lucky enough to get 2 from Discount and yeah, seeing it regularly would be fantastic.

I would just like to extend my sincere thanks for the recommendations. I was able to stop at Tenutas on the way up and grabbed a nice haul of TG beers (Pseudo, Golden Nugget, Intergalactic Warrior, and Pompeii). And the brats at the place in Paddock lake made me look like a champ at the dad's late-night cookout on Friday.

Total Wine in Brookfield has Xocoveza, 6 packs of Expedition, A case or two of 15 Abyss, and I saw a couple Death By Coconuts today.

 

Has anyone seen BA Ten Fidy or the java version around yet? Seems like it's everywhere but here.

 

Java was brewery only, so you won't see it in WI.

A few posts about regular hitting Madison today, but I don't know which stores.

 

Hi All - going to be in the SE WI area for turkey day, hoping to find some good spots to pick up BCBS on friday -

Im originally from Tosa, so I know about Rays there, going to be staying the West Bend Area and swinging into MKE for the shopping binge. What are some good potential bottle shops or places to grab it in Menomonee Falls / Tosa/ Brookfield / maybe towards DT area? Or can it be found at any generic Pick n Save/Walmart?


Edit: Doing some reasearch some names popping out are Ottos and Discount Liquor - thoughts?

Hard to say yet. Most places aren't releasing their details until next week, presumably when they know what their allotments are (which are rumored to be way down). Ray's has their Super Saturday thing again this year and nothing on Friday. Discount has historically been both Friday and Saturday. You won't find any at Pick N Save or Walmart.

Another option is the Black Friday release at Lakefront Friday morning. Usually a good time and the beer is solid.
