I'm on the fence about this one. I actually have the day off, but would need to be out of Half Acre by around 11:30 for something else. Not sure I want to make myself get there early enough to guarantee I'll be out in time. Especially since their order processing can be sloooooooow at the retail shop.

Plus, I'm hopeful I will have it on tap more in the coming months.

The only thing we know for certain is this Friday release. Will it be on tap elsewhere over the next few months? Uncertain.

They've also confirmed it's brewery-only, in case anyone was still hoping for distribution.

Too hopeful at this stage for HA's BA program. Eventually!

I hope it's not a shit show this weekend. I was hoping to stop by Saturday and fill a growler. Hoping for Juice Man to return!

I'm very confident it'll be on tap again somewhere else in the future for some reason. It was just on at Village Tap last weekend...I can't believe that's the only keg they have tabbed for local bars.

I'm leaning more towards biting the bullet on this one and getting my butt in line, or at least going by at a certain time to see what it's like.

It was on tap several different times at Sheffield's, as well as at an event in Denver, prior to the Village Tap event.

Not entirely relevant since it doesn't look like it's being released here, but the second Other Half/Half Acre collab is being released at Other Half this weekend. It's called Fully Frothed - it's the sequel to Rainbow Never Ends. It's an Imperial IPA brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, El Dorado, Equinox, and Simcoe lupulin powder. Other Half is smartly releasing this in 4-packs of 16 oz cans as opposed to Half Acre who refuses to do so and put Rainbow Never Ends in bombers.

I'd give Half Acre shit for the lack of canning one-offs, but I'm still riding the high of them FINALLY putting out a worthy year-round DIPA (Navaja), so I won't.

However, yes, the day they start canning their limited releases again will be the happiest day of my life (or at least of the which in which I hear the news. Potentially.).

I thought they released some of Rainbow Never Ends in NY as well? Or maybe they took some kegs over there or something. It'd be nice if there was some reciprocation here with the new one...although Rainbow Never Ends really wasn't special. Not bad, but nothing to really get excited about IMO.

You're right, they did take a few kegs. I would assume the HA tap room will get a few as well. I've got a 4-pack of cans coming, so I hadn't really thought about that.

I've never been to HA, let alone a hyped barrel aged HA release. What level of shitshow is expected? Can we expect this to be a you-can-probably-roll-by-mid-afternoon-and-still-grab-bottles release or a if-you're-not-in-line-by-9:00am-you're-shit-outta-luck release?

Expect a high-level shitshow, especially with a two bottle allocation.

Orin lasted something like 24 hours at 2 pp but no one cares about imperial browns even though it's a better beer so :flushed:

This is their first barrel aged Stout, so who the hell knows. Based on the lines that have formed for Galactic Double Daisy cutter, an IPA that sees distro, I gotta imagine this will be kinda bonkers.

There seems to be a special kind of breed of weird Half Acre people who will go stand in an entire block long line for a fucking pale ale. I want to think it could be a normal release but I fully expect it to be ******ed.

This Benthic release will definitely be nuts. The lines for Big Hugs was super long, so I can only imagine how long the lines will be for their first BA stout.

Yeah just went from on-the-fence taking a half day at work to that's a no for me dawg. Have fun, weirdo Half Acre people with seemingly no jobs and endless cashflow.
