BA Ten Fidy Chicago 2016

Chicago isn't getting any from what I've heard, probably best to just stay in and not go out hunting.

 

Capones only got 12 cans, didn't last long. Not sure about the rest of the area.

 

Binny's LP had some earlier. 1 per. I only had one mule, 4 sweatshirts, and 3 homemade neckbeards, so there should be some left.

 

I'd like to get a couple cans of this, but after having it at FOBAB, it didn't knock my socks off. Of course, my palate was most likely wrecked by time I had it, which is why I'd like a couple cans for a purer assessment. But, I just don't feel like going crazy out of my way to get it.

 

A friend of mine loves Ten Fiddy and has been dreaming of the day he could finally have BA Ten Fiddy. It was like his 3rd or 4th pour at FoBAB and I asked him how it was and he could barely muster a "meh".

 

I was curious to try this, but Ten Fidy has never done much for me, so in a one week period that's also seeing releases from HA and obviously GI, I guess I'll pass. You guys'll have to tell me what I'm missing out on.

 

I thought the BA was pretty hot this year, but think it should age well, also had the Java and thought it was fantastic

 

Disapointed to pass on this one. Too much going on this week with GI Tursday, HA Friday, Prop Day Sunday and BCS next week.

 

In other news I have no money...I actually enjoyed the BA quite a bit, wasn't too hot to my palate. I don't know if I'd buy more than two cans with everything coming out, though.

 

Yea. I suppose if I see one Ill buy one but its going to be an expensive couple of weeks coming up.

 

How much is each stovepipe can?

 

I say this pretty much from November until a little after Dark Lord Day. Between all the BA stouts and the occasional bottle of higher-end bourbon, winter is absolutely brutal on my liquid budget.

Prestige Liquors just put it up on Beermenus at $17.99.

 

Had it at FOBAB while still coherent. It's good, and the 19.2 oz can is worth the $13 w/tax at Binny's. But $17.99 list price is too much with all of the other great BA beers we get in the Chicago area. (yes, very spoiled)

 

Anyone know if Beer Temple already had it? I don't recall seeing it posted, but I could be wrong.
