Founders Breakfast Stout in Iowa?

Bought my first 4-pack in Ames today....and it's delicious.

 

I am not sure who told you that but we are not expecting to see this in Council Bluffs.

 

I don't think I've actually seen it in Des Moines, but I'm pretty sure Beer Crazy posted that they had it.

 

Hmmm, I just called the store and asked. Maybe they were misinformed? I guess we'll see.

 

I handle all the beer at that store. 99% sure it is not coming, we have not seen any Founders seasonal or special release beer in Council Bluffs. Do you have any idea who you talked with?

 

Best friend of mine works at the Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits in Carroll, IA & they won't even get it until the distributor gets rid of all the Cerise, but won't send any Cerise to that store to help move more out. Makes sense, right?!?

Hard saying if they'll see it either. They seem to move a decent amount of Founders considering its a relatively small surrounding population. That store moves a lot of booze, period though.

I'm not sure. I just called the store, was transferred to the liquor department, and spoke with a younger sounding guy. He asked me to wait while he looked it up, though. I assumed he was looking in some store database but for all I know it could have the Founder's website.
Either way, thanks for the accurate info. Any specific reason why you guys cant' get it? Lame distributor?

Probly a day late and a $...... as it has been a week since last post, but it was at HV W&S in CF last night.

 

NOOOO!!!! I was just in CB last week and only looked in the Madison St. Hyvee.
Hopefully I can still score a pack next weekend when I'm up there! Thanks for the heads up.

 

Last week saw a few boxes of it, in two different davenport hyvees
