You did forget to try drinking it in the back of his van though. I hear early morning does great things to hops.

How do the Monkish flip top growlers hold up as far as the carb goes? I was thinking of heading over there tomorrow after work and getting a growler, but wasn't planning on drinking until Thanksgiving (6 days later). Will it hold the carb that long?
Also, looks like a new IPA on tap today.

Keep it cold and it should be just fine. I've kept flip-tops way longer than that in the fridge and held up great.

Ive had monkish beers 2 weeks old out of the flip tops and were just as good, if not better than day one. Carb held up just fine. I also shipped a growler of 2nd dumpster to a buddy in Wisconsin. He drank it just a few days ago and said it was perfect.

Just like their cans I think Monkish Growler IPAs are better with a week to two weeks on them. I'm drinking a ECIP that I bought on release and its way better tonight, more stone fruit notes, peach and apricots and the mouth is rounder and fuller.

    Cheers,

I actually carbonate home-brew in the same flip top growlers. If its in good condition it will hold the carbonation for well over a year. "Screw the Screw" tops.

i just saw it to and was gonna post about it. The 2pm release gives everyone just enuff time to get there but not enuff for too large of a line to form. I wonder if itll be on draft also
