LHBS still has some mosaic wet hops they stored in the freezer. When they first got them in I checked them out. Cracked the hop cone and smelt the lupulin. They smelt amazing but wasn't planning on brewing with hops. 2 months later they still have them stored in a freezer and selling them $12 for 1/2 a lb. Are the hops worth getting over some pellets? Curious if the benefit of fresh wet hops are gone now that they are 2 months old and frozen.
It's a done deal. The rewards for pellets are outstanding: They're generally less expensive. I don't have to make an extra gallon of beer for an IPA. I don't worry about clogging strainer or siphons. I can fit 4x more hops in my freezer. My vacuum sealer actually holds a seal on pellets. It doesn't with whole hops quite often. I'm not sure why. I'll start double sealing everything from now on.
