And it's just as refreshing dropping less than 15 bucks on a 12 pack of excellent IPA (er... IPL).

Kiwi Rising is fantastic (actually lbetter than remembered) and phenomenal QPR. Paid ~$10.50/4 at Liquor Junction at Reading. Assuming Redstone and Rapid are also carrying it.

Bought a 4pack of Kiwi for $10.99 in CT. Easily passed up a 4pack of SOS for $15.99... Cant beat it!

Finally found some at Giles in Medford. Even better than I remember it. Very dangerous as they don't taste at all like an 8.5% ABV beer. And as a bonus it doesn't have those impossible to remove black 4 pack holder things.

And for the record, at least as of Friday, Rapid didn't have any. Don't know if that's changed by now.

Any chance of a Graham Cracker bottling? I would sell a kidney to grab some of that.

I'll either be planning a trip up there around that time specifically, or be sending a family member to collect the reaper's bounty...

Once the Springdale Barrel Room opens, will there be growler fills of the IPAs? The real question though is will I need to add some Springdale glass to my growler collection or will you be able to fill a JA glass?

It's kinda trivial since they work on a deposit system--even if everyone has a stick up their butt and says it's not allowed, you'd just need to walk next door to get your deposit back on the JA glass.

That said, I'd assume it would be allowed since both brands are owned by the same licensee, but it's hard to say for certain given the lack of written policy on the matter (no one seems to know what MA law/reg outlaws third-party fills).

Eventually, our glass will be co-branded, pending our next growler order. We will fill JA growlers until they arrive, though.

A note on our draft system design: we will have up to 5 growler options available at any point. Our friends at Modern Draught built a system that splits off 5 lines and diverts them to a growler station adjacent to our taps. These will be IPAs, saison and any clean beer we feel works in a growler. For the most part, we'll be offering our sour beers only in bottles.

We're very close to being able to share our official opening details, so stay tuned...

Disappointed to be opening a Kiwi Rising I bought today from the refrigerated section of the store with the date of 11-9-16 and the hops have totally fallen off. None of the floral and citrusy aromas that were present when I bought it the week it came out, now it's the cardboardy old hop smell that I unfortunately find often in slightly "old" JA. I wonder if the lagering makes it not last as long?

I have cans from the same date and they were tasting just fine as of this Monday. Hard to imagine an 8.5% 105 IBU beer falling off that quickly especially if refrigerated. It could just be you (always an underrated factor in these situations), or maybe those cans were mistreated at some point before finding their way into the fridge.

MAYBE even one can or a run of cans ended up with excessive oxygen in the can? I know they test for that but maybe a few bad ones can sneak through? Not sure how plausible that is.

Hmm, I also had the same experience as @oldbean above and due to being under the weather for a while I've drank them over several weeks thus far with a few still in the fridge. KR has been quite consistent since the freshest one I cracked and very hoppy to my tastes but YMMV.

I can speak for myself that it is always tough with seasonal releases, since I try so many new and different beers and styles over the course of a year that identically produced beers one year apart may be perceived a lot differently. This is how Nugget Nectar has gone from a hall of fame beer to an above average beer for me over the course of 5-6 years or so.
