I bought some beelzebub at 6:30 today. It made it through both Tuesday and Wednesday without selling out. At 1 or 2 tomorrow you will be fine. Petit Mutant is sold out though.

wasn't petit mutant at one time in a tall boy for similar price to their other beers?

They sold Petit Mutant in four packs on one or two occasions in the past. It was more expensive than their other beers though. I believe the four packs were $24.

Still a pretty sizable price hike

$18 for a 750ml of wild fermented ale seems pretty reasonable when compared to similar options from other breweries, also, the back of the bottle states "for the first time, we have blended a small portion of bacteria soured, barrel aged Petit back into the final bottling blend....." I don't know for sure, but makes sense that the blending and barrel aging added to the production cost for this batch when compared to previous batches. And either way, it tastes amazing and I would be happy to have the chance to buy another for $18.

No doubt. The Alchemist is one brewery I never have a problem w/ pricing. Just stating the facts that it went up by a lot.

For anyone keen on snagging some overpriced gray market Alchemist, I hear that Beaver Brook Bottles (Waltham, near Belmont) is selling Heady & Focal for $8 per can.

Hard pass for me - hate that gray market reselling bs. Especially with the most expensive Trillium offerings at $5.50ea.

Was it particularly busy on Thanksgiving Eve? I may come up on 12/23 and figured it may be comparable...though I may be wrong due to ski season.

Went on Friday. 10 minute wait, if that. The days of long lines at Alchemist are gone for the present. Showing up early afternoon usually means no lines whatsoever. And they typically aren't selling out of anything in a given day.

I also went on friday, pulled into the parking lot at 10:55 and they were already open. Was back on the road by about 11:10. My guess is lines will get somewhat longer as the ski season gets going but still nowhere near summer vacation lines.

This Beelzebub is insanely fantastic! Absolutely perfect for someone who is an IPA junky who also loves good stouts. John Kimmich, you are a beer genius and I salute you sir!

Beelzebub, Luscious, Crusher, Heady, and Focal tomorrow if I'm reading their fb post right. That rules.

I've kinda wondered if they'd be increasing the availability of alternate options to the core 2/3 - I know there are ways in which the Kimmich's have gone against the trends, but it's obvious from the big MA breweries and HF alike that variety makes for a looot of repeat visits.
