Monkish Brewing (November 2016)

There is no incentive for the people who see the line cutting to make a big deal and cause an confrontation about it because they are getting their beer either way.. The people affected by it aren't in the area where it's happening so they can't say anything. I'm not saying it's right, but it's reality.

I'm sorry man, If someone tried to blatantly cut in front of me anywhere in line it wouldn't happen. To let it go just encourages this behavior. JMO but I'd love to see people stand up for whats right regardless of whether their getting their beer or not. I guess this is a great example why I don't do lines well.

They should do wrist bands if they insist on holding the in-person releases to prevent line cutters. Or move to online releases

 

It's also not like there's people there when the line started, so deligating someone to wrist band duty wouldn't be that big of an issue. They have put the number in line you are on the wrist band as well.

Aside from line ballooning up, i do like the time between announcement and sales. really was nice to not have to wait in many hour long lines.

 

Henry probably doesn't mind people checking Monkish religiously on FB/Instagram, etc., every Friday>Sunday for last minute releases, either.

 

I love it when people come in and ask if cans are available.

 

Yeah, what a bunch of idiots coming into a business and asking if they have the product they make for sale

 

Between the terrible behavior at releases and the "hey I only got six cans I better see some whale offers" in trading forums, I think LA beer broz have finally usurped Floridians of the biggest beer douchebags in America crown. Sad day.

Double IPA with spelt and DOUBLE dry hopped with Mosaic, Nelson, Galaxy ABV 9.3% #HaazeeGuizz is $20/4 pack limit 2-3 four packs per person/per day. About 170 cases available. 1 case=6 four packs. ALSO: we’ve heard your requests to reduce linecutting, and we will be handing out wristbands today.

Announced 27 minutes ago, so if you leave now you can maybe be 243th in line.

 

Big batch so it should last a while. Hoping they choose 2 /4pk limit instead of 3.

How do so many people converge so quickly? Just sitting at home (nearby I assume with the awful traffic up there) refreshing Monkish's IG all day?

Hoping they limit them to two 4pks so they last a bit like MFCL did. Glad they are scanning IDs to prevent double allocations!

 

i feel like the bomb atomically line came about much quicker and much more ppl. within an hour of announcing they had 200 ppl in line

 

I feel like Friday got busy quick since people are either more apt to leave work early on a Friday or work a schedule with every other Friday off
