Lovely short trip to Bilbao :

    Falken - 1 Up
    Brooklyn - Wild Horse
    Dougall's - 942
    Tegobier - Old Porter, H.H. Let's hop
    Brewski - Passion Feber
    Drunken Bros - Black Maiden
    Laugar - Fibonatzi 0, Anniversary 2016
Basqueland Brewing Project - Imparable, AUPA
    Naparbier - Back in Black
    Arriaca - Centeno
    Pohjala - OO Baltic Porter
    La Pirata - Black Block
    Brew and Roll - Blackhole
    Camerons - Obsidian BA
Open Baladin - Rock and Roll

Small, compact city with a growing beer scene, trying to breakthrough the much larger pintxos/tapas and wine one. Of note although none were particularly shoddy Basqueland Brewing Project Imparable , a wonderful easy drinking citrus hopped pale ale which belies its 6.8% and La Pirata Black Block, also an easy drinking imperial stout which ticks all the right boxes.

A heads up for anyone near Cambridge, Bacchanalia are now stocking 1999 Thomas Hardy's Ale. £13 a bottle. Never tried it before, but a home-brewed version was one of the best beers I've ever had.

I've had a few pints of Young's Winter Warmer Burton ale recently, one on Saturday and two more this afternoon. Really nice on cask at the White Cross in Richmond, really fruity and a little sweet with a tiny hint of spice, and really wholesome. Just generally lovely to drink in front of the fire with a book, and the sun setting. All I needed was some stew and dumplings, maybe a labrador too.

Nipped into tosco to see if they had any more new beers, I don't think they did but I picked up some

Brewdog Kingpin - gash, forgot I'd allready drunk it
Jaipur - this is 330ml so I assume off their new bottling line, it's excellent again and was much better than the last time I had it bottled

Also got a can of vocation IPA and a brooklyn east IPA, I shall consume both tonight

Are you bringing kegs/bottles/cans? Good luck with your trip

Has anyone tried the Krušovice tank beer? I see a bar has opened here with it. But the bar is called The Strip Joint so I'm not sure I should go due to the cringeworthy name

By here, do you mean Glasgow? Tried tank Kruzovice, but only in Prague. The Belle on Great Western Road used to sell Dark Kruzovice, it was fab.

It's the bar that replaced Bannisters on Argyle street, basically at where Finnieston street meets argyle street. The same people have taken over the Partick Tavern too (just opposite the three judges) so that might have it too although I've not been down that way in ages so I don't know if it's reopened or not yet

I always liked the belle but I think their beer selection could be improved a lot. same could be said for many a bar tbf

speaking of glasgow bars, the old toll bar has reopened after a few years closed, it has one of the best interiors of any bar in glasgow - unfortunately the beers were all rather pricy, I suspect to keep the rabble out given its location. I don't think it will survive long in its present state although I would like it too

So gutted to be missing this! I used to live just around the corner from you guys in Gilbert, AZ. Going to be in Glasgow on the 11th, Manchester on the 12th and London again on the 13th so literally following you around the country! Will there be any bottles left behind or on tap after the dates mentioned above?

Had a couple of interesting ones today at Craft Beer Co. Covent Garden. Fyne Ales Cereal Offender, a session strength "Breakfast White Ale". Relatively sweet and pretty fruity. Followed by Black Jack Curse of Mexico, a fruity, peppery bitter.

yeah whats all that about with thornbridge, theyve got a new bottling line then? i live just down the road from them and always liked the fact they sold their beer in proper sized bottles, now all the local shops have started selling the 330ml bottles, at pretty much the same price!

Last night at Heaton Hops I had an Omnipollo hypnopompa, amazing beer. Also had fresh Fatamorgana, also good, and Beavertown Espresso. Today I went to the Cloudwater Brewery Tap and had DIPA 9 and Bourbon Old Fashioned, which was awesome. Took home a bottle of the bourbon BA Tripel. I think in the next few days I'm going to go back to Heaton Hops and buy bottles of Yellow Belly and Mexican Cake.

Just picked up a couple of bottles of Yellow Belly today from my local bottle shop. Here's my recent list :

    Brewdog Elvis Juice
    Moor Last Minute
    Moor SoHop (Cask)
    Vocation Life and Death
    Bornem Tripel

Really enjoyed the 2 Moor brews, particularly the SoHop, fantastic citrus fronted beer which really came through on cask, which isn't always the case with these type of beers. Vocation brew, great cheap supermarket go to citrus fronted beer.

Indulged in some Verdant Headband pale ale last night, a pretty nice pale which touches on the trendy new fad for juiciness without losing that lovely bitter finish, which for me is where the Cloudwater DIPAs have been falling down. Also a Brewski Pango IPA which was lovely, nice and tart and fruity. Looking forward to more from both breweries.

Had the Brewski Passion Feber in Bilbao last month and thought it was a good well balanced IPA.

Continued working through my stock yesterday with Arbor Breakfast Stout which was good but nothing really to write home about, a bit too fizzy. Beavertown Lupuloid IPA like many Beavertown beers promised a lot but lacked in delivery. Brewski Mango Feber DIPA saved the evening, really nice and full, soft and tropical, and generally quite hard to fault. Then a few Bowmores and a bit of a sore head this morning.
