Opened one last week @ room temp and it gushed a little. If it was chilled 30 minutes prior it would have been fine.
You should have seen the taster glasses fly to that bottle.

Pretty interesting photo on Instagram hinting at a BA beer w/ cinnamon, chillies and vanilla.

Too bad they'll probably blend some old ale into it

Opened up a Share this Molé last night for a nip... Finishing it right now and I have to say that the Chilies and spices are more pronounced on day 2... It's fantastic!!!

i've had 2 gushers in the past at tasting and both times it was great. no idea what it is but it's not infection atleast my 2 cases

I actually routinely get gushers from the big BA Bruery beers, but there has been no correlation with infections, etc. Note that this is much more common when opening at around 63 degrees (my cellar temp).

Probably why the big stouts are best the next day, lets some of the carbonic bite escape.

I've had plenty of big Bruery beers, as they are my favorite and I've never had a gusher unless it was infected.

Maybe I'm lucky/that shit be cold.

Finally got around this past weekend to have a few friends over to do Chronology 6, 12, 18 & 24. Everyone liked 18 and 24 the best. It was fun and while I'm really looking forward to the Scotch Ale series if there's another series next year I'll probably pass.

I believe next years Chronology series is an imperial stout.

It's about damn time! That and a barleywine would be what I'd be most interested in honestly.

The only gushers I've ever had Bruery related were the Dos Costa Oestos (?) collabs they did with Cigar City back in 2011 I think. All three gushed so bad I only got about 6ozs of each one. I wish the collab with Dogfish Head had gushed though so I wouldn't have had to drink it. That beer was awful. Leave it to DFH to collab and ruin something.

Doesn't Melange 3 usually come out during this time?

Had a '13 over the weekend, my god it aged so good.

Hahaha, and that's the one vintage that was on sale for almost all of last year too.

Melange 3 is one of the best Bruery beers period. I had 2012 and 2013 vintages recently and it holds up stellar. Bad news for those looking for a 2016 vintage, I think I'll let the word come directly from the Bruery.

When a beer has been a staple in a brewery's lineup for many years they can make the news a current batch is not being brewed official. Regardless of what I've been informed I keep hoping that a 2016 batch appears.

They don't brew that beer anyway. It's just a blend.

Regardless, I can see them making that choice. I only know a hand full of people that really enjoy that beer. Still seems kind of odd though since they don't brew it specifically.
