BCBS 2016 Events in NYC

Did you actually get some? Post pics because that store is notorious for bait and switch.

 

Another thing for all you BCBS hunters out there. Be very careful about which bottles you pick up / are handed to you. Check the neck label and date stamp on the bottle to make sure it's in fact the '16 batch and not the '15s...unless of course you want the '15s.

 

I saw an IG post yeseterday with coffee in a basket here in NYC. There's a couple generic grocery stores that get it, and I checked but they had nothing (one had a single bottle of 2016 BCBS, wanted $28 for it- pass). Ah well, if coffee does indeed make an appearance I'm sure I'll get at least one bottle or a draft pour of it. Thanks for the confirmation!

 

I think this is the photo being talked about. I think it's pretty dumb to have an account called Where's the Beer and not mention where said beer is. Anyway its either Brooklyn Harvest or one of the other shady BK supermarkets. What gets me most is that Goose Island had one of their Migration week events at Brooklyn Harvest last year after all the shit they pull. The asshole beer guy wouldn't sell me a bottle of Vanilla Rye because I called him out after he called a liar.

 

Hahaha, well put @NewmansOwn. Not cool of the poster, and not down with BHM. For anyone keeping score, looks like the Wednesday event has moved from One Mile House to Rattle N Hum East this year. No details on what will be on tap, wonder if they get the 2016 coffee.

It looks like Top Hops will be getting Coffee bottles after all they're just not sure if it will be this years or last. Check out their facebook event, they said they'll have rare bottles too.

 

I would hope its not last years. My coffee bottles were acidic messes.

 

Was about to say oops my mistake but their event page does in fact say "2015 or 2016".... wonder if it's a typo.

 

If that photo from WheresTheBeefNY was purchased at BK Harvest i'd like to see the other 6 baskets of beer they had to buy just to get those. I wouldn't be surprised if they had to buy the whole damn store to get that BCBS. I'm also not buying any BCBS after having to pour out a couple of bottles last year. Save your receipts!

 

Yea and that would be real shitty on either Goose Island or the distributor to try to push last years coffee after all they know.

 

They had Coffee at a distributor in Greenpoint, $15. Said they got one case. Confirmed it's from 2016.

 

Living close to the BHM on union, I am surprised that these practices exist. Just the other day i was able to get two cans of ba ten fidy with zero pressure to purchase more.

Guess you got lucky, I used to live close by and the guy was ALWAYS an asshole to me. Called me a liar, got aggressive when I called him out for lying to me. The last straw was when he refused to sell me beer and told one of the stock guys not to bring me a bottle from the back in spanish thinking I couldn't understand him.

 

Whole Foods Market tweets that BCBS and variants will hit Manhattan sales floors Saturday morning in limited quantities.

 

Does anyone know if RnH East will be tapping anything other than regular bcs tomorrow?

 

They replied yes to a twitter question asking the same thing. No info on which variants tho.
