I know this has probably been asked a dozen times already, But what time do you guys think would be the latest someone should show up at LP for a decent chance at the full allotment? My sister stands in line at the Lakeview Binny's every year and has missed Prop every time.

Or learn to live with one allocation from one store and let some other folks enjoy it, too.

    I know, perish the thought.

The cellar thing is probably partially specifically due to the lack of rye/Rare variant, for what it's worth. And to bring hype back after the bad infection word-of-mouth.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I see 9 worked out last year. Maybe I'll tell her 8, then.

They did give out 1500+ bottles of prop at Prop day. That's 125 cases that not hitting binny's for sure. Coffee shortages rumors are Rampant too. Not trying to be negative. but the 2 everyone wants are odiously in less supply. Just pointing out it might be better to play in safe with LP and camping out at Jewel thinking your the first guy that thought of it might not be the best move. The LP well did evidently run dry, just because they had more than the last year in 2015 doesn't mean they will this year. evermore so the facts point to less not more.

Jimbobebop this was from the Forums on Binnys Site.... Don;t see what you are saying as remotely valid.

Can you tell us if the amount of 2016 allotments at Lincoln Park will be comparable to last year? Will there be more than last year?

Binnys LP already said they have the same amount of allotments this year as last year.

The cellar raid is likely to be a thing going forward since they did it last year. Not sure why this year would be puzzling.

Jewel will not have 1k people. They advertised last year too and I was there an hour beforehand and was maybe 20th in line. Sounds like 5 jewels are all doing the same release so no reason for anyone to fret. Especially since it's at 7am most people will be at a Binnys.

To those who keep on asking and apparently don't want to read in this thread-Binnys ran out at noon last year. Doesn't mean the same will hold true this year but last year there was way more hype due to there being 6 total bottles and Rare being one of them.

Here is some updated info from the Binny's blog:

    UPDATE 2: BCBS Rare 2015

One more cool detail: We can also confirm that 2015 BCBS Rare will be available at all Chicagoland Binny’s locations in limited quantity. More good news: we can confirm that around half of the ticket holders at our main event at Binny’s Lincoln Park will have an opportunity to purchase the 2015 Rare, and that’s in addition to the full allotment and their vintage pick.

I'm conflicted about the Rare news. I would like to add one to my cellar, but it's so steep.

Oh, who am I kidding. I have no discipline when it comes to buying beer and it'll be gone before I get a chance anyways.

Also from the Binny's blog, If you asked Chipotle the same question after their issues and that was their reply. Would you Consider that person in marketing a valid source of information with a pulse on the Companies interaction with suppliers on a store to store level? Granted Tom asks the hard questions but allotments could mean Personal or Store. the question therefor the answer is pretty vague

Will the beer be infected and a total let down and waste of money like last year?

I Could be lead to believe regular BCBS will once again be able to be bought by the case at any Jewel. In all reality people are not waiting inline for regular BCBS. After their infection issues it's pretty optimistic that none of it spread to the comparability small batch that is Prop. Once again causing barrels to be dis guarded like coffee and BW did in 2015. Also the Delayed Variant that shares the same name and year label date could be construed as a counter part to this years Prop release.Even is GI said straight out there is more Prop, so much so it will rain from the Heavens I would still take that with a grain of salt. They did say 2015 regular BCBS and 2015 prop have been tested and are not infected, and we all know how far that lie went.

Well on a less serious note, tomorrow at this time LP should have its first set of attendees (note last year it was 6:30 pm on Wed). I'd like to think the first in line would be representatives of this fine state but alas, it will likely be someone from MI again :stuck_out_tongue:. Here's to monsoon-like rains in the city Wed evening. I kid. Anyway they'll be in their cars so it wouldn't affect them.
