Black Friday Beer Releases

For those that will be "down the shore", Cape May Brewing is releasing Boughs of Barley on Friday. Boughs of Barley is an 11% bourbon barrel-aged Barleywine....sounds festive!

 

don't think bcbs here in south jerz hitting till after black friday.. like it was back in 2012/2013 and i think last year too 2015... 2014 it hit black friday and i missed out on nilla... what a fucking sham

Swiftway Beer in Medford NY is hosting a Bourbon County Stout Black Friday Release at 9am on Friday November 25th 2016. They have the BCS, Coffee, Barley wine, Rare and Regal Rye.

 

Considering going to the Black Friday Bourbon County event at Churchkey. For those who have been before, how crowded does this event get?

 

+1 for Troegs. Also plan on going to Free Will Brewing for Ralphius and Ella.

 

Have any Bourbon County releases been announced in the Philly area that include coffee and/or the previous year variants?

So far the Top Hops release in NYC is looking like the most promising one for the PA/NY/NJ area.

 

Pretty crowded. If you want VR or coffee be there early. If I remember correctly VR kicked 20-30 minutes after opening last year.

 

yes, philly tap finder has two bcbs events for bars... foodery in philly does the bcbs bottle events

add in glasstown brewing in souther nj doing two bottles on black friday... some cookie type beer and an IPA or something

forgotten boardwalk is releasing a maple bourbon barrel aged smoked porter in cans today at 3pm and some other can beer on friday.. think that potato thing they did a year or so back

 

Hitting one of those Prop tappings in Philly would be awesome, but as far as BC bottles goes it looks like Top Hops takes the cake.

 

The Craft Beer Outlet in NE Philly opens at 7:45am and limits are

1 Coffee Per Person (12 total)
2 Barleywine Per Person
3 Regular Per Person

 

Anyone know how much the Philadelphia area Wegmans are getting this year? The Foodery in Roxborough is usually my spot but at 1pp for regular and 1pp BW and no coffee, I'm not waiting for that.

 

Have you heard anything about the price and the format of the packages? They confirmed on FB that they were doing packages, but wouldn't provide any other information

 

yes, they are posting the package pricing today.

 

BCS $9.99, Barley Wine $12.99, Coffee $13.99, Regal $24.99, Rare $59.99 but they need to be purchased in a bundled package that is listed on facebook.

 

I must be missing something cause i only see a list of stuff, and "packages to include poster, etc" nothing about what is contained in a pkg. That said, those are solid prices

 

If you told me 5 years ago that AB was going to sell a single bottle of beer for $59.99 and people would line up on a cold morning to buy it, I'd say you were crazy. Well, kudos to you AB, they will be out in force on Friday morning.

 

Black Wednesday (today): Victory Brewing's Java Cask + (new) Java Cask aged in Rye Barrels. All three brewpubs for today's release. I know it's heresy, but, better than BCBCS and no chasing needed

 

I already have my coffee and vanilla BCBS...

FYI to anyone planning on going to Troeg's: they previously said that BAID would be $18/4, but just corrected themselves to reflect that it will be $36/4.
