Had anyone been burned by LandonReto

His account was deleted, but I remember that there were others along with myself, who had been burned by him. I have reason to believe that he's active again.

 

Same name, same place, same age.

 

I was new and so was he. He messaged me and asked if I would send a Pliny for a 4 pack of FBS. We set a ship date. I shipped and sent him the tracking #. No reply. It landed and I asked if he got everything. No reply. A few weeks went by and I sent him a message stating that it was probably not a surprise to him, but I had not received his end of the trade. No reply.

 

I'm going to tell my story in better detail, but its long, so let me process it.

 

I joined BA in late 2010. I chose a stupid name based on a funny YouTube video (doublerainbow). Made a few trades (including the LandonReto one) A few months later I decided that I didn't like my name, so I started a new account (Backpacker). I didn't do it for shady reasons. Just figured it would be better to do it sooner rather than later. I told all of my past traders that I was doing it and why and gave them the option to consider me a new trader They all changed their trade references to my newer name.

One day I see Landon putting up an ISO, so I out him. I was asked to explain, so I told the story. The math of my account didn't add up with the date of the trade and I explained that it was through a previous account. I was told that I couldn't have two (even though I did NOT remain active on the original), so I emailed Todd and asked him to delete it. Minutes later both of my accounts were deleted. Before that happened, though, Landon and I were already in the arbitration process with Levifunk and the bad trader list. Landon completely admitted that he burned me and agreed to ship what he owed. I got one final bm before both of our accounts went down. It said something like, "hey, I'm sending you your beer, but I want you to know that you're a whiny bitch and that's why I didn't return your messages. My box to you must have broken, but I didn't care because you're a whiny piece of shit". Then my two accounts and his were gone along with my chances of actually receiving the beer.

I'm sorry for the confusion, but all you have to do is ask around and you'll see that I'm a good trader and an okay person. If nothing else comes from this I'm glad to finally get this story off my chest.

I realize that I don't have the luxury of just being able to tell an easy story, so my motive was to warn the others that were burned by him.

 

Yes, I believe that he was deleted because some detectives found his FB page and it said he was 19 or something. He's 21 now.

 

I was brand new to the sight and didn't expect to start trading, where ones name carries their reputation. I thought it was like Flickr or something, but soon realized that the sight was a real community with very present mods. I wasn't on a streak of creating new accounts. I caught the problem and asked to fix it and was deleted. For a while I just stayed off BA because three accounts IS a lot.

 

I explained everything in detail. Is that a bad thing?

 

I realize I'm leaving out the name in question, but I don't know for sure if I should put a trader on trial because he shares a lot of info as the bad guy.

 

I've sent him a bm. He saw it and didn't reply. Behavior matches.

No out trade was way less believable. 1 Pliny for 4 FBS. I knew nothing about trade value, so I believed it.
