I traded Prop 1:1 for Coffee right after checking out today. Probably poor value for me, but I already had a couple Prop from Prop Day and much prefer coffee.

Disappointed this year's BCBBW is the same price, and as relatively more expensive than Regular, as last year's when it's not "3rd use."

LP handed out 1100 tickets and seemed to have 1100 allotments. After the ticket holders were through, there were maybe ten or so full allotments and a couple dozen random bottles people pulled out of their allotments.

Sucks that there seemed to be a couple hundred more people in line after the ticket holders. Two to three hour wait for nothing.

Got checked out right at 12 Noon. Was able to get a 13 and 14 BW in addition to the full allotment. Not sure if it was worth the wait.

I was thinking about going to LP T that time, but drove by grand, saw about 40 people in line and said, fuck it. Even if I get shut out, I'll be done by 9.30.

Pleasantly surprised to get everything plus rare.

What was the level of outrage from those couple hundred? If it wasn't worse than mild my guess is many of those were multi-dippers who were partially relieved to save some money.

It seems everyone who showed up at LP ~9am and earlier were able to get one of the 1100 tickets. It of course sucks folks got shut out after that time but it seems to have been a reasonable cutoff time imo i.e., the time wasn't far off from what was expected.

Didn't get Rare at LP, but at $70, I'm okay with it. I got 12 and 13 BCBS as my vintage. Would have liked to get vintage coffee, but I'll live. If we get another "meh" year with variants, I'm probably staying local. I'm guessing I'll do LP for their 25th though.

BTW, drinking a Prop at Local Option right now and it doesn't suck. Mostly chocolate and heat, but not overpowering. Probably a 4.4-ish.

Seems much harder to find over in NWI this year. Granted, I didn't go stand in line, and only half-ass looked / called around for it, but only scored a single bottle this year. According to the people at every store, it was gone 1/2 hour or less after they opened early this morning. Past couple of years I've been able to get a handful plus usually BW by going to a few less obvious (small and out of the way) places early in the afternoon.

NW Indiana liquor stores all seem to have received half of what they got last year. All stores I visited after hitting LP were only allowing 1 per visit. Lucked out at 2 stores as I was able to purchase their last regular. Nicks liquors on calumet had a bunch of regular and a few cases of BW left as of an hour ago

I suck at posting photos on mobile.

Beer dorks, please stop littering. You really are an asshole if you do this. Those folks at Binny's work their asses off to put together an excellent event, and you just leave your empties lined up like the ground is your trophy case. It's pretty disappointing.

    Great event as always.

Good to hear the time differences. We got there right at 11pm. Was planning to do 3 or 4am but the vintage variants, semi Ok weather and rare convinced us overnight. Hoped that 11pm would be good enough but realized it probably wouldn't when we got there. We were 169 which got us prop 14. Can't complain though i don't know if I'll do an overnight again in the future.

I was at Jewel at 4 am and got the full allocation (all variants plus 3 regular) and then went to LP Binny's around 7:45 for ticket #850 to get me the full allocation and 2 '13 Regular. I'm not sure if I would say it was all worth it or not...maybe I'm getting too old for this! I grabbed 4 more regular and 2 more Barleywine on my way back from Walgreen's & Lakeview Binny's.

Did anyone go to Beer Temple? I saw that they posted about having less BCBS than expected, so had to cut allocations. I was wondering what the crowd was like there, and what time people had to get there for Prop or Coffee.

I saw the beer temple thing too.

On the one hand, I totally understand. He doesn't sell Budweiser, and if it comes down to it, as long as the jewel's and Whole Foods of the world will adhere to doing a release properly with limits, it makes sense to spread it around.

Not sure. We might've been 50 or 60-ish. I think they were on the last or next to last box of Prop. Still had 3 cases of Coffee left at that point from what I could see.
