    3 prop, 2 Rare, 1 coffee.

The struggle is real on the coffee.

My exact same experience at Binnys grand. I was on my way to LP, saw the short line, and decided even if they got very little like last year, and I got shut out, I would be finished by 9.15 and be able to go about my day.

    That was the deciding factor.

Tried this at the BF tasting @ GI Clybourn yesterday - delicious, and I don't normally like barleywines. It's the only variant I passed on this year (mainly because it was my least favorite in prior years), and I regret doing so.

Had Prop 16 at the GI Clybourn BF tasting yesterday and it was definitely different from Prop day. Still good, but VERY smokey. It didn't help that they paired it with a really spicy chili, imo the biggest mistake they made. It made everything from that point forward taste spicy, and it was really difficult to cleanse the palate afterwards.

Which is crazy cause last year the lot and street were full before 6am. And I believe 200-300 people showed up. I got there before 6 last year and struck out on regal and rare and was lucky enough to get their last prop.

I think it's pretty obvious that everyone went to Binny's LP this year because that's were the Binny's blog told everyone to go. And it appears almost no one went to the suburbs or any of the other city ones this year. I'm going to predict the exact opposite happens next year and you will be able to walk up to Binny's LP at 10 and score a full allotment again.

They do a release on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not sure yet what they will still have available.

Currently last in line at Beer Temple...not optimistic, but if I get shut out...that's probably money I should be happy about not spending this time of year!

Yeah, hard to know - I don't think anyone around me was trying the "stroll in mid-morning" as their only shot as I was. Plenty of double-dippers before and after me. And another group near me hit a suburban Binnys first before arriving at 9:30. I think the Jewel 7am release with the option to get in line at LP before tickets were handed out may be the driving factor - if it plays the same way next year, I expect the same to happen.

In my opinion, I thought it paired nicely. I like spicy food and thought the smoke and spice in both the chili and prop 16 wasn't too much. I think prop is going to be a hit or miss on lots of people.

But that BA Impervious, that was pretty awesome and cannot wait till they bottle it. Also Rare was really smooth and not very boozy as I would not have thought. (first time having Rare)

I went to LP because the thirst for VR or Prop 14 was real and will probably do it again. Just with a heater next time.

I've been out of town unfortunately. Any places that have a lot of regular left? Hoping to swing by a few places tomorrow. PM if you don't want to reveal. Thanks!

I'm happy people are liking BW this year, since I was going to pass on it, but got a bottle at the Binny's release. Reg is pretty good (and a little boozy, at least at 14%) this year, but not up to '14's standards, in my opinion.
