I think I need a defibrillator right now instead of a beer. :grimacing:

My favorite beer is the one where I have enough patience to let aged a least a year, that's what make the difference. So this is a strong beer with yeast that has some new flavors with time.

Have you tried any Barrel ageing?

No, but I am sure it would be even better than letting my beer aged on my kitchen floor!

It would be hard for me to argue against Duvel being one of the most well crafted beers in the world. I grab a four pack when I feel like treat myself and if I see it on tap, doesn't matter what else they've got, that's what I'm drinking that night :grinning:

    A suggestion, if I may.

This site can be a great resource if you spend some time with the information here. For example underneath the Beers menu up above there is a link called Beer Styles. That will take you to a page with over 100 different styles of beer listed. Each link on that page will bring up a general description of the beers falling into particular style. The list as it first comes up is ordered by the number of reviews people have written for each beer and looking through the most frequently reviewed beers you can often tell which you might find where you live. Also on that page there's a link that takes you to a page where the beers are ordered by their overall score based on multiple reviews. On that list you'll find several quite nice beers to try.

So if you go the German Pilsner style and click on the link to get that list in highest rated to bottom of the list, my 4 favorite Pils style beers are listed. They are the Prima Pils from Victory, the Pikeland Pils from Sly Fox, the Sunshine Pils from Troeg's and the Pils from Stoudts'. At least one or more of those beers can always be found in my fridge through out the year. If you want to read the reviews, order them by "top raters" since those will typically be the folks who also have the widest range of experience with different beers and with writing reviews to tell us about what the beer tasted like, etc. That can also help you find some reviews who have tastes similar to yours so you can look in the future at their reviews of beers you are thinking about trying and use that to help you decide whether or not to spend your money.

Most importantly think of yourself as being on a journey of exploration and enjoy the trip.

Although Duvel is a both a brewery (Duvel Moortgat), brand (Duvel) and style (Belgian Golden Strong Pale Ale) all unto its own and it comes in three varieties:
    - Duvel 8.5% ABV - 330ml and 750ml botttle (Bottle Refermented)
    - Duvel Tripel Hop 9.5% ABV - 330ml bottle (dry hop varietal changes annually and Bottle Refermented)
    - Duvel Single (aka: Duvel Green) 6.8% ABV - Draft Only

Just had my first Fresh Squeezed IPA from Deschutes. Holy mother of god, that is an amazing beer. I have had a lot of IPAs in my day, but I don't think I have ever had a better one.

Can't do favorite one, but favorite ten are Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier, Founders FBS, Founders KBS, Founders BWB, Prairie Pirate, Prairie Bomb, Goose Island BCBS, Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Series (Stout, Cassian Sunset Stout, BBQ, Scatch Ale). OK, that's more than ten and I'm not done yet...
