Had a Chromoscope last night and thought it was a little too sweet. Still a ridiculously sluggable beer for the ABV.

Looks like BA BQE arrives December 10th, a day after Singlecut puts out their first cans. Could be quite a weekend.

BA BQE is cool and all and Ima let them finish, but Apple Brandy BQE....

Chromoscope is tasty (I thought I would like Cell better, but no).

They also mentioned multiple cans too! Hopefully well get a BQE variant next year.

So...who's buying that box set tomorrow?

I was thinking about it. 4 BQE's and a Teku seems like a halfway decent deal. Plus, I loved the Apple Brandy BQE. Would love to see how it's tasting a year later.

I was thinking about it too, but it really only makes sense for those that missed the last two bottle releases. I'm just gonna stock up on this years and buy a glass. Hoping they do a variant later in the year too!

Had my last Apple Brandy a couple months ago and loved it. However, I don't quite agree that $110 for 4 500mLs and a teku is a halfway decent deal. Seems about $30-40 too much.

I had my third and last 2015 BQE last month and it was just seriously, stupidly delicious. I would buy this just to get my hands on one more of that vintage. BCBS who?

I'd be out of town during the bottle release day so still on the fence about buying the box set at $110. If the teku was $10 for easy math, that'd put each bottle at $25 each. Sheesh. Still waiting to see when they'll post the link for purchase and how they breakdown the prices on each one.

I want the box set but I cannot justify paying $25 for each bottle. Just spent $27 on FW XX Anniversary, and that was a special gift to myself for starting a new job. That's the most I'll ever spend on a beer and it was well worth it being one of the best beers I've ever had.

If it was more like $20 a bottle or $80/$90 for the gift set then I'd probably have an easier time pulling the trigger.

Am I mixing up the size by thinking the Finback bottles are only 500 ml?

ANTEAD was 8x750 bottles for 140 or so (though, no glass....)

It's a little expensive but a couple things pushed me towards the purchase:

    1. Convenience of buying online

    2. Sweet Teku glass which we're unsure will be available beyond this set

    3. AB BQE - never tried it and heard excellent things so needed to get my hands on it.

    4. 15 BA BQE - had this on tap (never bottle) at the BQExC release and was blown away. Needed another one of those.

The box seems to be hanging on for a long time considering there were only 90 made. The price isn't that crazy. Tekus aren't $10, there usually $20/$25 and the $110 included $10 tax. So you're really looking at around $20 per bottle, at least that's what I'm telling myself.

They posted a photo of the Teku on instagram saying it will be available at the release.

The Treehouse Teku I bought earlier this year was $10. If you put an NYC markup to it, look at Other Half who sells its Tekus for $12

Ditto for me. Can't make it December 10, but can go the next weekend to pick up. also wanted to have last year's bottle and the apple brandy, $22 per bottle for 750ml BA stout and $13 for a Teku isn't outrageous at all ($101 + tax)
